Yeah I know he will, take this past off season for example. And it's turned out very well. So, not against trades/FAs, and I know Ainge won't sit still this summer and things will happen, but I just really like the current team if all are healthy, but nothing stays the same in sports.

Them and Philly could be the favorites; even if Philly doesn't get Lebron. Give Simmons and Embiid another year. Both teams could be scary.

This is an excellent time to be a Knick fan.

LeBron on the Knicks doesn’t beat Boston or Philadelphia.
The roster sucks beyond Porzingis.
Just so the Garden gets some juice I hope LeBron goes to NYC.
 
Re-draft the 2015 draft right now ...

1 - Karl Anthony Towns
2 - Kristoff Porzingis
3 - Devin Booker
4 - Myles Turner
5- Terry Rozier

I could see D’Angelo Russell in the conservation but I would take Rozier.
 
Houston makes the game look too easy sometimes.
 
Even if James wanted to go there, it seems like the Knicks would have a really hard time clearing the cap space to sign Lebron.

They would need to cut their salary down to about $70 million to have a shot at him as the cap is $105m.

Those are not easy contracts to dump for clear cap space.

Kanter and O’quinn have opt out clauses they’re likely to take and Lee would be traded. $35m.

IMO, Kanter is far from a sure thing to opt out. This is 2018 not 2016, and there is just not much teams with space out there. Its quite likely his agent is putting rumors out there trying to get the Knicks to give him a longer extension in the offseason. Pretty basic agent move.

#Trading away a $12M for nothing in return is not an easy task. With many teams looking to dump salary and with so few teams having cap space, the cost of clearing space through these teams will not be cheap.

Yeah, I would LOVE for Kanter to opt out. Not sure he's going to.

Look, Lebron isn't coming to the Knicks. If he was, between attaching first round picks and Frank to guys, and possible using the stretch provision, they could probably get there. But he's not coming.

Agreed, he keeps on making comments about opting out, maybe he is dumb enough to do it. The other part of it is if he does opt out, I'll be scared it's because they are going to sign him to a longer contract.
