NBA Thread 2020-21 Season

Really a shame for me. When he plays, he's simply really fun to watch. Does he shoot too much from 3? Maybe. Is his on-ball D not great? Probably. But imo, he's clearly an all-star player and such a unique talent that it's a shame injuries rob him, and us, the ceiling of opportunity.

I've said this since the Knicks first drafted him, but at the risk of beating a dead horse...

There are a fair amount of issues with his game, between just his durability, plus he doesn't really pass, not a great rebounder, but the combination of 3 point shooting and rim protection is just so rare and so important.

I said multiple articles.

All of those articles are based on the article from the Athletic.

It’s going to be fun to watch Kawhi bounce from the Clippers after this year.
There are few guarantees in life, but the Alsacs jinx is one of them.

That Alsacs jinx really screwed the New England Patriots to 6 titles in 20 years.
I have seen all 4 of my local teams win a title within 6 years and my freshman year saw a college basketball Nc but I am a jinx.

Nah the Clippers are the Clippers.
There DNA ensures it.
They won’t win chit this year.
Lakers are better.
Nuggets embarrassed them in the bubble and the West is the west.
Kawhi will sit out a bunch of games.
Paul George is Paul George.
Kawhi can bounce and the Clippers will be the Clippers.
Small brother to the Lakers then.
Small brother to the Lakers now.
Small brother to the Lakers forever.

Incorrect, but I expected you to go there. The Athletic article was December 2nd. Two of my linked articles were from September 19th and October 16th. And those were from generally reliable sources of info. I didn't link articles from fadeawayworld.net for example, the hit and miss bleacher report, or provide info that I heard from a friend at MLSE.

Here is one from as early as January 24th, 2020 but you can argue that cassiuslife.com is about as reliable as a friend who works for the team who picks sides on who to like/dislike..

Congrats.

So glad we could rescue Harrell from that JV team drama on the other side of town. Welcome to the champs, kid.

I was in Los Angeles doing work for a week during May 2012. It was memorable in that weekend was being referred to as one of the biggest sports weekends in the history of LA. The Clips and Lakers were in the second round. The Kings were in the Western Conference Finals. Apparently there was a huge Cycling race and a significant MLS game as well IIRC. Also the Dodgers were in town.

I decided to go to a Dodger game on Friday evening and one basketball game. I chose the Clips based on price. For a second round Clipper playoff game I got a fairly good seat for $90 given that it was a playoff game and it was a section with private lounges in behind. I had paid over $200 to go to a Raptors playoff game in 2007 for a seat that was no better. A ticket in the same section for the Lakers game the night before was well over $300. Goes to show how different the markets and the allure are for those teams.

The Clippers actually had a 24 point lead in that one. The Spurs then proceeded to go on a 53-17 run and took a 3-0 series lead.

You're right. The September 19th article is nothing more than Chris Webber commenting on "chemistry" issues, with no specifics as to what those issues were. There's certainly no mention of Leonard. And then the October 16th article references a different report from the Athletic, the contents of which were expanded upon in the December 2nd report. You really got me there.

Plus, you said you were done posting about the Clippers for awhile, so there's that.

Both he and Schroder are already saying they should start. Good luck with that.

Issues in San Antonio.
Issues in Toronto, that were overcome because of Lowry... and Kawhi being a stud of a basketball player and a damn great.

But obviously there were no issues in Los Angles despite multiple sources claiming such. And there will not be any problems at all in 2021 in Clipper Land. And that is guaranteed because Moqui's friend says so.

That’s not what I said, nor is what moqui said. Not that I’m surprised. It took you over a year to acknowledge that both Leonard and George grew up in SoCal and followed the Clippers.

To your health!

The fact that you can't connect the dots at even the level a six year old could is the problem. Not that I am surprised.

Congrats you guys got 1.
The Rams don't even play in St. Louis anymore. They still won one while they were here and the Patriots had to cheat to beat them.

The Cardinals have won more World Series than everyone but the Yankees. I'm fine with sending a couple your way. And the Red Sox were my AL team for a long time. Big Mike Greenwell fan.

Oh wait, are you a Red Sox fan again?

Nice projection to go along with your straw man.
