NBA Thread 2021-22 Season

Some analytics guy on Twitter was saying Butler shoots 47% on transition pull up 3’s, so therefore, it was a good shot. I feel like that sample size has to be too small to matter and considering how bad a shooter he is in general, it’s just not good.

Having said that, he was basically their entire offense so you kinda have to live with what you get.

Almost an all time choke by Boston. Obviously the heat would want that shot back, and yeah it was not the best decision in the moment from a poor shooter. But it's a quick decision in the moment. Hard to fault it especially with how he played the last 2 games. In hindsight, definitely would take my chances having him attack Horford.

I think Warriors win in 6.

I mean, Adebayo has 25 & 11. That’s pretty damn good. That’s more than anyone on the Celts in Game 7, save Tatum, who had 26.

This is not directed at you, but Butler gets tons of slack, for a guy who’s never won a damn thing. It’s fascinating to me.

It’s amazing Miami got as far as they did with their roster limitations. Not sure what that exactly says about Boston. I know the prognosticators believe they match up well with Golden State, but anything worse than their A game in the finals I think they lose and I’m not sure it goes 7 games.

People seem to try to make him into a superstar all the time but he simply isn’t one. He’s a good player but he’s somewhere in the 15-30 range.

Bostons real problem is Tatum has games were he just almost hides, But then he'll have games were he plays like prime Kobe. Boston just needs more consistency from their star players. As well as Smart playing Smarter on O, Those 5 shots late game last night were god awful.

Did they mention why Herro got no run in the second half? Couldn’t tell if he was off from the long layoff, it was his defense, or the injury flared up again.

I think he was prepping for his set in Ibiza next weekend.

FWIW, Boston is the only NBA team with a winning record against Kerr and the Warriors during Kerr's run with said Warriors.
I don’t think the regular season means much, but I do think Boston will win.

That guy was Bob Voulgaris. He knows his stuff.

I think the Dubs win, but I can see the series going long.

Timelord isn't fully healthy and I think that's a big deal.

I also don't trust a team where Marcus Smart may end up taking the last five or six shots of a game with Jason Tatum on the floor.

Cs have had issues closing and I think that's going to bite them. All credit to their D, which is amazing, and I think Ime's coaching is up there with anyone else, but while this Dubs team is definitely a step or two down from the pinnacle of the dynasty, they still have the ability to overwhelm teams in the blink of an eye.

He was hurt. He just tried to make a go of it. They ran a play for him early and it was a hot mess.

He wasn't remotely ready to be back.

Weird.

Was pulling for the Celtics, but i thought this was absurd and I’m not quite sure Strus heel actually touched the sideline.

NBA is turning into the NFL with its officiating ridiculousness.

That’s what I figured but hadn’t seen any reports.

Completely agree about Rob Williams. He was limping on the third series during game 7.
