NBA Thread 2022-23 Season

Multiple friends who know basketball told me today they still thought Celtics in 5. I couldn’t believe that we watch the same games.
I think, at least for me, it’s just disbelief that this is actually happening with Miami. They were legitimately bad for pretty much the entire regular season, particularly offensively/shooting the ball, and then made no meaningful changes to the roster and are suddenly the best shooting team in NBA history. It defies all logic.

And their best shooter(Herro) this season has missed virtually the entire playoffs.

Robinson, Love, Martin, Vincent, Lowry and Strus stunk this year from 3. They have all been 4-9% points better in the playoffs.

It's so annoying. For most of the season, when it was apparent the Knicks were going to be around the play in range, I was constantly afraid of the Heat making a run and dumping us out from 6 to 7 and into the play in. Then the Nets blew up their team, we got some more breathing room, and eventually I just came to the conclusion Miami just wasn't all that good. Then they were losing to the Bulls in the 4th quarter at home in the second play in game and I felt really smart! And then all this happened

Between this Heat run, the Lakers making the conference finals, and Milwaukee/Memphis losing in the first round it kind of feels like the NBA is turning into the NHL when it comes to regular season meaning much of nothing.
