NCAA 2nd Round Games for March 19

It was bad but bringing the ball low every time you catch it vs the press wasn't the the refs doing.

You obviously did not watch the second half then. from the ejection to a minute left in the game Carolina got one call in their favor. the problem wasn’t the calls though it was the no calls.

Go watch the over and back violation. The Baylor guy basically boarded a Carolina guard knocking him into the back court and they called an over and back violation. It was absurd.

The Carolina guards got mauled during that press, guys got literally knocked off their dribble, and there was not one single call against Baylor for it.

Oh I watched it. UNC was awful handling the pressure. The ejection was controversial but was far from egregious. The refs badly mismanaged the entire game. They didn't hand it back to Baylor though. They just helped the cause. Then very late decided to help UNC. It was a disgrace in totality.

Also not going to get into how many games UNC has won with a boatload of assistance from the refs- including vs us.

They missed about 5 calls on Baylor on the press. Many others UNC was catching it low or not protecting it. A lot like we did this year in our second half meltdowns. Those 5 could have been the game or maybe 4 of the first 7 they called on Baylor early in the second half that should not have been called could have been the game. Like I said it was a complete mess officiating wise.

Creighton is close, and keeping it tight, but somehow it just feels like they aren't really in it for me.

Still, hoping they can pull it out.

They had trouble handing the pressure because they were getting mauled. How do you handle pressure when you’re defender is allowed to run into you, body you, hand check you and knock you off your dribble without it being a foul.

Geezus, the over and back, or the Baylor guy standing out of bounds with his hand on the ball and they don’t call call it. Egregious stuff was happening.

Which UNC did to us all game in Chapel Hill with no call. Bilas said it best. I don't like Baylor either but UNC was far from robbed. Plus they gave them everything at the end and in OT. They won the game.

Now we know how difficult in our late season five games trying to beat Duke, UNC, Notre Dame, Maimi and VA Tech. It is almost impossible. VA Tech is actually the easiest one.

I'm all for giving the aggressive team, or even an underdog playing well some calls - I said as much in our Duke game. We should have been getting the 50/50 calls because of how we were playing, the game, etc...

I didn't think this was that for the most part. Baylor was just bludgeoning whomever had the ball with a no call. So, I don't even mind SOME favoritism based on situation, but I did think this was excessive.

UNC was, what, 3 players short toward the end, and they would NOT foul out anyone on Baylor...Mayer fouled out blatantly at least 4 times, starting with the half court call. That's just too much of an advantage late. UNC got kinda lucky to pull it out in OT.

They also had plenty to do with the lead ballooning to the point it was. Not sure how you didn't see the missed calls in UNC's favor.

I'll give it 60/40. Everyone pays attention when there is a comeback. Less so while a team is growing their lead. UNC deserved to win and did but this was not Baylor getting every call or no call all game.

There is still plenty of Karma due UNCs way for the number of games the refs have handed them over the years.

So this guy is #1 in the ESPN tourney challenge right now with 33 of 34 games called correctly,

His one miss so far. Kentucky who he has winning the national title.
Too bad chump - use your head next time.

My impression in the 1H is that UNC got several calls in their favor. Then it switched dramatically in the 2H. In OT I'd give UNC the edge in terms of favorable calls.

Are you saying that Manek shouldn't have been ejected? I thought that was obvious.

Michigan off to a hot start.

They are one of the few B10 teams that have consistently played at seed / above seed for the past 8 years or so.
