NCAA Elite Eight Games for Sat March 25

So... just to be clear, you haven't watched any of the game, but you come in with a hot take about our fanbase?

Awesome.
Correct. ;)

I was actually at the Wild game tonight and they had an awesome win. (I think you're in MN if I remember right)

Good block me then.

What’s tiring is listening to people that actually know basketball act like they’re ed when watching games involving teams they dislike.
That's been a staple of this board for a long time. Part of its charm. Don't take it too seriously. Folks just blowing off steam. Not exactly impartial viewers.

2013 we can be mad at the charge call but really our offense wasn't good enough. Besides the 1st round the most we scored in the tournament was 66 points. Defense was amazing but you gotta make shots. Plus Louisville would have been a tough final.

Goodness looking at that Michigan box score Hardaway was 4/16 and Burke was 1/8. How the heck do you lose that game? Michigan shot 20 FTs and Syracuse 11. Michigan made 8 3s Syracuse 3.

What’s funny is the recruiting threads when we lose someone to them the guy we got who was rated lower was “better” than the guy UConn got.
I’ve noticed this as well.

If it's any small consolation [and it isn't], I'm watching the game at a restaurant in Sunset Beach, North Carolina -- and there is a uconn fan here in the bar who has been predictably obnoxious as hell. He just got kicked out, and escorted to the door while he ranted and raved with his wife / children back at their table, and everyone in the restaurant applauded him being bounced..

I assume his last name is, "Hurley."

2016 UNC was simply way better and we were lucky to get that far in the first place. Silent G didn't have a very good game and we were 4/13 from the line but still I don't think we even win 1 out of 10 against them. And no way we beat that Nova team.

Jesse manhandled Miami inside. Sanogo and Clingan would crush them.
Miami is a bit undersized but they present matchup problems with their guards who are quick as hell and can hurt you from three. They're going to give Texas all they can handle particularly if Disu can't play. Also not sure any player has improved more over the course of the year than Omier. And he had 16 points and 16 boards against us when we played two months ago.

Do we have the cardio training to play at the pace of these teams? I feel like we’d need extra defibrillators on hand.

You mean if Disu can't play for UT. Yes they do provide matchup issues. Issues that would fade quickly vs UConn. UConn can consistently go inside against them.

I agree with you, but for whatever it's worth, I think you may be confusing the 2016 and 2018 Nova teams.

The 2016 team was very good. The 2018 team was an unstoppable machine.

Disclosure: I haven't watched any hoops today I was at an NHL game.

I see that UConn has been called for 13 fouls and Gonzaga for 10 fouls, and UConn is up 23 points. Is this really a case of bad officiating or this is just Syracuse fans being Syracuse fans?
Uconn is playing with energy and in control, Gonzaga looks clueless.

Game is over, so just moving on.

I know that Andre Jackson can't shoot -- but I wonder how he would have worked here as a poor man's Michael Gginije type, in our system.
Andre would’ve been better in our system than uconn . That’s what hurts

I remembered this game being close and thinking we lost a rock fight due to some bad calls.

Watched a replay a couple years ago and Michigan was the far superior team let their foot of the gas around the under 8 so we got some hope but the game was one sided.

We couldn't close on Loiusville in the last Big East game ever with a huge lead I tend to agree with you.

Michigan was a bad matchup and played their best game 2013 beats just about all of the field. That team won a ton of games for neither MCW and Brandon being great offensively. Even going back to the aircraft carrier game almost all our wins that year were kind of ugly even though we were an elite squad.
