Fredericks is just simply a better back than Neal.
This is just a wild guess... the ESPN announcers commented today on the unusual practice employed by SU in which the RB gets the play from the sidelines and calls out the blocking assignments for the OL) allowing Dungy to remain the in shotgun, checking out the opposing D. I like this twist, but I wonder if Fredricks has issues with this RB responsibility. Maybe he's dyslexic or something. I know I'm grasping at straws, but I don't understand why he doesn't see the field more (his dropped passed today not withstanding). Someone needs to ask Babers about this on his next radio program.Fredericks is just simply a better back than Neal.

Watch the last series of this game. Not what Fredricks does with the ball, BUT everything else. Mahoney has to call line coverage on one play and on another he has to position Fredericks. I don't care how talented you are if you can not call out the line coverage at the RB position in this offense you will not play.

You mean the one pass he dropped after coming in completely randomly?I think we saw exactly why fredericks isnt playing today on the one play.
That's the responsibility the running back has in this offense.whether they like or don't like fredericks moe neal is not a running back in the ACC. the dude is a slot guy and that is it, he had better be able to catch. if they are trying to teach fredericks a lesson, I'm fine with it but at some point you have to play the better guy. why should the running back be calling the protections anyway
I guess there are only bad ideas then, either you try to accommodate the offense to the better player, or you keep the system and play the guy that isn't good. :noidea:That's the responsibility the running back has in this offense.
Maybe I'm alone here, but tailoring the offense around a guy that doesn't know where to line up sounds like a bad idea.
I think we just need Strickland to play very snap.I guess there are only bad ideas then, either you try to accommodate the offense to the better player, or you keep the system and play the guy that isn't good. :noidea:

We don't have a RB on this roster that is good enough that the offense should be changed around him.orangehomer said:I guess there are only bad ideas then, either you try to accommodate the offense to the better player, or you keep the system and play the guy that isn't good. :noidea:
I agree. Dino needs RB's with speed, hands AND the ability to be a second field general out there. If you can't do all 3 you're not gonna be the man.Watch the last series of this game.
