his wing. I get different body type, but he can teach leverage, hand placement, how to set guys up, identify his three best moves. Get Hicks to get him stronger and more explosive.

I hope we dont need Freeney to teach the basics. I honestly think his pop warner coaches taught him those things. Hopefully Freeney can break down the fine tuning of the intricate tiny details that none of us could talk about reasonably well and be able to teach that Hall of Fame type stuff to all of our guys.
I am sure our DE coach has drilled all of the stuff you mentioned into our DEs for a while now. If not what do decent coaches do?

Seriously, my freshman coaches taught us that stuff. Repetition, intricate details, mind set and being able to visualize reads beföre the play, anticipation is what makes a difference.
Freeney must have incredible nuggets of knowledge to share with these guys, leverage etc I would hope is not groundbreaking material for Div1 players.
There is a reason that not all great players become coaches.

Does anybody really think Freeney is going to be in Syracuse coaching for the fall/winter and not in his beautiful West Palm Beach (or wherever) home playing golf with Michael Jordan? I think Wildhack said that Freeney approached him about coaching (so this was not a Fran move) and I can only assume it was a stunt to get more press/attention and probably more donors and alumni engagement. I could be wrong, but that's just my impression.

That's fair. I too hope he can engage and help out, but my question wasn't meant to be antagonistic or facetious. I really want to understand what his engagement and role will be and I'd love to hear what others think (or know) it will be.
