NET rankings coming Dec 1

Up 20 spots. We are now # 70 in NET rankings. We were #90 prior to spanking Tennessee.

That makes us a Q1 game for visitors coming to the Dome.

For Away games, Top 30 matchups are Q1 games. There's 5 ACC teams in the Top 30. There's a 6th that is #31 and a 7th that is #39.

For Home games, Top 75 matchups are Q1 games. There's 11 ACC teams in Top 75. There's 3 more teams that are very close to being Top 75. Hopefully for conference play we have 14 ACC teams that are Q1 away games.

161 and worse is Q4 at Home. BC is 160, Pitt is 164, and GT is 206. Absolutely cannot lose to these 3 scrubs in Q4.

The funny thing is that they see one game of us and say we suck. If I were to judge Tennessee based on only the one game of theirs that I saw, I'd say they suck too

Funny and self defeating to berate a team that beat your team by claiming we suck. They beat Houston by 3 with Estrella, we lost to Houston in overtime without high scorer and top rebounder Freeman. They lost to Kansas - we lost to Kansas with us missing Freeman again and Tenn missing Estrella.

They played Rutgers in their first game while we played Houston - we had a much more difficult schedule in Vegas than they did.

Hofstra was a disgrace of a loss. Red has about 10 of those per year since he has been coach...Georgetown last year still gives me nightmares...Ed Cooley took Red to schooley and destroyed us in the last 5 minutes.

Nobody will argue it was a good loss. It does not look like a “disgrace of a loss,” though, with the understanding that better teams have lost to worse teams this year and it’s not entirely uncommon. Hofstra is a midmajor with an outside chance to win their conference, it seems. They’re not a 200+ bottom-feeding turd.

Fair, but I’d argue it was a disgrace not because of who the team was, but because of how awful the game was

That game will be the one needed to make a jump and be likely near the top of the ACC standings with momentary life around being on the bubble. Win that one and the next sitting at 16-5 and we are all the sudden in a great spot going into game vs UNC.

Reality wise the Pitt game worries me a ton as they are polarizing. They crushed Penn State who just only lost to Michigan by 2. One game at a time but if we get past Pitt and do so with a strong performance … there is still a glimmer.

Pitt feels alot like GTech right now. I'm not sure their fans are still showing up either. Playing at the Pete was a nightmare for years but not the same now.

Looks like Pitt only goes 7 guys and doesn't have much of a front court. Then add in that they have had some foul trouble their last 2 ACC games should mean Donnie and Kyle should have solid games. Who knows with us though.

Hofstra I suspect will keep winning. They just beat the expected favorite Towson I’m guessing they rack up the wins and run away with that conference .
