Lids Legend: Joey Spallina | A | Mount Sinai (N.Y.) | Team 91 Smash
The No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2022, this was Spallina’s first big-time run with his Smash teammates in a few weeks and he said that, as usual, it was fun — and important — for them to get out on the field and play fast. Spallina showed that, after earning the designation as the top player in the class and committing to Syracuse, he did not rest on his laurels; he averaged eight points per game in Smash’s first three wins, showing his usual balance as a scorer and as a passer.

JS game at times is that of a smaller Tehoka
He loves to initiate contact. However unlike Tehoka he is always looking to feed instead of just trying to bull through the double team too. Even though he moves and plays different overall he could end up a lot like the new Jeff Teat in college lax. We desperately need someone to replace Nick Mariano's cockiness/chirping ability and I am seeing some good signs in the footage. He will definitely be a crowd favorite.

There were definitely a few "FLID" references in some of the youtube highlights i watched.

FLID lol. Hard to stomach em unless on ur team. Then luv em if they walk the talk

Yeh, noticed that willingness in tape which is great to see ... Tehoka somewhat underrated now if that is possible, imo still one of the best in game , a physical talent that impacts defensive plans. He is a creative passer, had 32 assists as frosh when supporting cast was stronger but yep he began forcing into doubles as soph when he succeeded Fields as primary. He was back to playing a more complete game as jr . Had 5 goals in last game vs Maryland.
