New field turf is down at the dome

No lacrosse lines or ACC logos? Do they all get put in later?

The turf comes from the factory with yard lines only.

Numbers, hashmarks, various logos, etc... all get added as the turf is installed.

I'm a symmetry nut. Maybe it's just me, but where they placed the 5 at the 50 yard line looks out of balance compared to where the 1, 2, 3 and 4's are located as it relates to their respective yard line markings. The distance/gap from where the 5 and its adjacent vertical line is appears larger there than all of the aforementioned. I'm not sure if this was by design, or just a miscalculation when the crew workers cut out that particular piece of field turf?

Or it's still a work in progress and the 50 wasn't finished when someone snapped the picture.

I hope so, it's pretty obvious...at least to me. :noidea:
I agree it does appear a bit too far to the left in that picture, but it is possible it is a work in progress. The numbers could just be laid out, and not installed, or the rug could still need to be pulled (that little tractor machine you see in some of the pictures with about 8 people around it).

Attached is them installing the rug at the Ensley Center with the above mentioned machine

Looks so much better without the lax lines..

In all honesty - I hope with IPF, we don't need to add them till the last minutes before the lax season. Does look better without them..

Is it just me who thinks the orange sidelines might make it difficult to see the goal line markers? They can be kind of important at times...

can someone ask them to put orange 44's on the sidelines in the white area, or better yet on the field small orange 44's? That would be very cool.

A few years ago, I wrote Dr. Gross suggesting that (with the NCAA's permission) they put orange 44 yard lines on the field. Never got a response.

Maybe it was me, but I always thought the green color of the now deceased turf looked lousy on TV. This should look better.

The old turf sucked up light like a black hole.

I'm sure you know this, but they did add an orange 44 at the 44 yard line in the white sideline area.
