Is this referring to me? If it is I think you misunderstand who that was referencing or perhaps I wasn't clear. I'm not concerned about ruining a QB whose not performing. I'm worried about forcing kids onto the field that aren't ready i.e. the freshman. And if it wasn't...go Cuse!

Although, I share your sentiment that I can give a rats arse about ruining a non performing QB, nor shedding a wink of "feeling bad" for such, whom likely has had their first taste of any significant personal adversity in their relatively short life to date. All the while of having the luxury and privilege of getting a free ride, along with all of the perks, etc. that go along with same. Oh yeah, not to mention the substantial amount of coin to boot given, primarily on the premise of NIL vs. actual tangible productivity. Life can be so damn hard for these folks.

Who said he's up to speed on the offense? Fran said he may be our best QB once he develops or did I misunderstand something?

I know everyone is hyped up to see all these qbs and happy we opened up the competition. Try to remember a few 'real world' things and if you're ok with these things that's OK. But they could still happen...

Possible split in the locker room - some want Filardi, some want Carney, etc

Splitting 1st team reps between 4 guys on a short week could easily lead to none of them being ready for Friday.

IF we are mixing them in during the game, you open the possibility of more false starts as cadences change, timing issues between WR/QB on quick passes, RB/QB handoffs, etc.

Communication issues between QBs and the staff.

I sincerely hope whoever is behind center finds success and I'm not here to tell people they are wrong for wanting a change. Just remember that change doesn't necessarily mean better.

The thing that concerns me at this point...Fran has not indicated that any one of the QBs in reserve was simply waiting for Ricky to fail to get his shot. He had to 'open the competition'. When you have 4 QBs you don't have any. Nobody has stepped up enough in practice for Fran to say ok Ricky you're out and XYZ is in. Instead we have..."Ricky's not getting it done so we'll let anyone try" - to me that is not a good sign.

Ricky should not touch the ball in practice ever again. Our corners and safeties have bought enough of his passes by now. As far as I’m concerned you take your next best 2 and give them everything. I would rather lose with them.

My last post on this...I know you and I have been jabbing back and forth a bit on this one. I just want to apologize for the lousy comment at the end of my last post to you. It was unnecessary and it's been removed. I'm trying to kill my inner-troll. Some days are better than others.

What's done is done, I was just voicing concerns but support whoever is under center. I admit I could be completely wrong about all of this. I don't know your age or care to know. I do know mine and I come from a time of redshirts and 5th/6th year seniors. A time before NIL when players had to sit a year just to transfer anywhere. That allowed you time to let guys sit longer, develop college skills off the field, build up their physical attributes/skills, build up the mental part of the game. In today's transfer portal/NIL world, maybe you don't care if a guy gets broken because you have 30 more waiting in the portal? The game has changed, I admit I have not.

I am older than you probably. Just think adversity builds character more often than not. No worries
