I just got back into this show, HBO has been playing season one again. I think its awesome. The osama episode was amazing. I got chills everytime they said "we killed osama"
I'm younger, so I dont have alot of "I remember where I was when..."
I was stationed at Fort Drum, getting ready to start clearing so I could head to Alaska. I went over to a friends for a cookout, early Sunday. Cookout turned into a drunked kick ball tourny. @ and a half hours from Drum, there was no way I was driving my drunk ass to base Sunday night. I was a squad leader, so I called my PL, and told him I wasent gonna make it to formation the next morning (I was short-timing, they were cool with it). I forget what time it was, but my aunt called me in tears, telling me to turn on the news. The whole party erupted. Hugs, tears. I was right down the road from the VFW, where my picture is still on the wall, and we partied all night long. A girl peed herself. I do regret not being with my guys the next morning. The BC addressed everyone, I should have been there.
