Not sure a guy who averaged 157 yards a game against a weak schedule is a suitable target for SU.
SU needs to get away from dual threat and find guys who can hit their receivers.

I don’t know who he is thinking but I will say…Fran is still pushing for McCord to get an extra year and is waiting to hear from NCAA. (I think there is a very very small chance they would grant him a 5th year)

Idk about TVD. I’m definitely open to other options if they present themselves but right now we’re tied to 2 of the top 5 QB’s currently in the portal. Having an experienced QB in Salter could prove beneficial with next years schedule.

There are always variables. Only played 11 games this year and didn’t have the weapons or same OC that he did in 2023. Plus Chadwell’s teams usually run a totally different offense than what we saw from Nixon this year. We definitely can do worse.

QBs might line up IF Nixon is still our OC. Not saying he wont be BUT programs will be looking at him. Fran definitely will trigger interest but Nixon will be as equally important in any portal QB decision making.

Yes, Nixon is the one guy we need at least one more season from on the coaching staff.
