What about Sluka? I don't care that he left UNLV because they promised him 100k, and they didn't deliver through their NIL...Write him a 300k check, and tell him he's the number 1; however, you are going to work into some of your preferred young guys into game action...He's a running QB, and the chance of injury is there...However, he's probably not an NFL guy...He's got the chance to make more on the top end with local commercials etc...If he gets hurt so be it...We have a brutal schedule...Also if McCord was able to come back, I'd be incredibly happy in spite of the schedule...Go Orange!

Weigman has a pretty good combination of skills and potential. Played well after pissing himself vs ND before he got hurt. I think he'd be a good safe pick with next years schedule TBH. Would definitely get at least 1 ACC road upset.

Michael Johnson Jr, maybe? It's hard to know anything either way with him, he's only thrown 4 passes in his entire college career. Which would make him the most experienced QB on next year's roster. I have to agree with you, portalling is a must.

He seems to be a Wildcat guy...not sure he is an every down QB...I think he would have played QB at the previous schools

Everybody seems to be linking him to Syracuse right now. I saw two projections that had us the likely landing spot.

To me Sluka is a Plan B insurance guy. If Cuse doesn't get their top choices he would be a 1 year guy who should be capable of getting us 6 wins next year if he beats out our younger guys.

I think he is a 2 year guy.
Skill set similar to Kyle
Not as polished now but certainly room to improve
but read his interview with ESPN. He has the same winning mindset that Coach has.
Based on what he said, he may not wash either after losing.
and as someone said earlier, great tie in with Wegmans

You have to think Coach Robinson has a lot to say about this guy and may be our in if we want him.

I'll admit that I haven't really seen him play much, but his stats in those individual games are pretty bad. That is over three seasons. So many stinkers.

Also he will cost a pretty penny. Not sure we want so much NIL going to a guy who might not even keep the job.

I’ll let the coaches worry about his true talent and the need. I do doubt he’s commanding top dollar though since he hasn’t done much.

Not sure a guy who averaged 157 yards a game against a weak schedule is a suitable target for SU.
SU needs to get away from dual threat and find guys who can hit their receivers.

Every offense is different. You could have a system where the first read is deep/middle/short. The more reads they less accurate you usually are in throwing.

I think the best thing we did was have Kyle see the field and make more early reads. That led to some earlier/shorter throws but it also removed some doubt and doubt is often the issue with many of these kids not the talent to make the throws.
