NFL Thread - 2018

Just awful. Worst non-call of the year in the biggest spot you can imagine. And it wasn't even close.

And I had no rooting interest in this game.

At this rate Romo’s gonna need a new pair of knee pads before every Patriots possession.

Well, the Patriots have won five Super Bowls and are currently owning the #1 seed on their home field.

What exactly should he say? I suppose he should be blaming the Bills, Jets, and Dolphins instead of giving credit where it’s due.

Lol yeah... pitiful performance by kc at home. Sad.

Rooting heavily for the rams in Super Bowl. Think saints had a better shot against NE though if patriots win

lol what should he be saying at this point?

He can point out NE’s strategy and why it’s been successful without the over the top praise.

Or he can say what KC might need to try to counter it. More analysis, less cheerleading.

this game just finished the first quarter. It's hardly over

I am a Giants fan but that is just a silly take. The refs don't help the Pats. The pats are well coached and know how to play. Everything else is just sour grapes.

I’m not disagreeing about the Pats being well coached or in general an awesome team but the Pats are treated favorably by the refs. It’s undeniable imo.

Nit picking. The Pats are playing great. they are well prepared. I suggest that when K.C. get their act together, and I think they will, he will praise them.

Worst part of that no call was not only did the ref miss an obvious PI it was also helmet to helmet contact and should have been a PF for that.
Penalties on penalties on penalties. Just a horrendous play on behalf of the refs. Legitimately changed who goes to the super bowl. That is insane.

The league hates the Pats. They have lost two first round picks. No one else was ever hit like that.

No, I have the data...last week was text-book, no penalties on the Patriots in 1H, 3 drive-extending penalties on the opponent, and then 10 penalties on the Patriots after the game was over so that stats don't show anything.

It's the same every year..all Patriots penalties on STs (where they want them) and major disproprortion (like 10 during the 2H of the Jets game last year, >10% of the season's penalties).

The stuff is intelligently set up to impact games but if you dig in it's obvious.

The Patriots are really good on penalties on Off/Def but horrible on STs, doens't make sense.

The Patriots kicked the Chargers a$&.
The refs didn’t give them the game with penalities.
Please man.

This chit again. I hope you put this much energy into cheering for your team whoever that is.

Are you saying that the refs intentionally help the Pats? Because that is crazy

The league hates the Pats. They have lost two first round picks. No one else was ever hit like that.

The league might hate them, but I don’t think the NFL is “rigging” anything. The refs like Brady and the Pats because they respect them. Therefore they get calls.

Again I’m not saying the Patriots haven’t earned everything they’ve won. Just saying they get the Jordan treatment from the refs cuz the refs are only human.

This was an impressively timed jinx. ;)

What I don’t understand is why it wasn’t reviewed. PI is not reviewable but I thought helmet to helmet was?

Absolute disgrace. Saints should be in the super bowl.

Yeah, three non-calls on the Chargers, one QB Roughing, and one Defensive Holding on the Pats, and you can flip the 35-7 score to 14-14 pretty easily.

Its easy to keep drives alive when every 3rd down incompletion is a foul.
