Patriots aren’t setting up on defense till under 15 seconds on the play clock so McVey can’t tell Goff in his headset the D.
It’s actually pretty smart and confusing Goff. He is lucky that pass was deflected or it’s a pick as the Pats confused him with a zone he though it was m2m.

Either teams are stupid or not as prepared.
As it should be an easy adjustment but it’s what NE is doing on D they are disguising every single play so Goff can’t get a read with McVey.
