Cam can’t throw.

Patriots weapons aren’t great but a decent QB could be better than pathetic.

They will likely lose their next 2 to Miami and Buffalo.
Fall to 6-9.

It would be really cool if Bill started Stidham week 17 and they lose to the Jets.

I am not worried about next year.
Patriots will have cap space.

Hunter Henry to the Patriots in FA is talked about so much I would be shocked if it doesn’t happen.
Belichick was hugging him after Sunday’s game.

They have the cap space. LA won’t franchise him again.

Allen Robinson, Marvin Jones, Kenny Galloday one of them will end up in NE.

Rumor being talked about in NE is the Pats trading Gilmore to San Fran for Jimmy G and the Niners dumping Sherman.

Patriots winning 6 games this year has been smoke and mirrors.
The talent will increase next year when they are out of cap jail.

I don’t want Jimmy G without drafting a young QB but as a bridge guy sure.

Also that Texans pick which looked like it could be top 5 is likely going to be 8-15 range.

Cam just doesn't look like half the athlete he was a couple years ago. He looks slow and mechanical...let alone is pop gun arm. he has lost that suddeness and explosiveness in his basic movements.

Unless NE overpaid and they won’t.

Darnold to Denver or Indy.
Unless the Jets blow the first pick and keep him.

NE will need a bridge QB next year like Dalton/Stafford/Jimmy G then pick a BPA in the first round.

Sign a quality TE, another WR and their offense will be middle of the road.
Which is good enough with Belichick coaching the defense.
They actually have some young talent on defense so if they fix their offense it will be a 3 way race in the AFC East.

With a schedule of the NFC South and AFC North next year.
Buffalo will get KC and Tennessee/Indy
Miami will get LV and Tennessee/Indy
NE will get Denver and Houston

So I like NE chances next year.
Belichick won’t let his team completely crap out. Coaching is too good to beat dumb teams like Arizona/LA Chargers.

Talent gets upgraded team will be fine.

He is tight with Nick Casserio I know that.

He was in charge of NE scouting. NE drafts until this year’s class haven’t really been good.

If Gettleman got fired I would say this is a precursor to Casario coming in as well but don’t know that now.

i dont think he gets fired.

he will be President of Operations or something.

he has often said he wanted to rebuild the team and leave it with a good foundation and franchise QB.

if things keep progressing here, hes done that.

hes a cancer survivor and will be 70 in Feb.

it will be the perfect time to consider his time here a 'success' and let someone else come in.

someone likely close with Judge.

I didn't realize how little dead cap is on Jimmy G's contract next year. I could definitely see him back in New England via trade/FA signing.

I could see Darnold going back to the West Coast and end up in San Fran, but with the 49ers in win now mode I see them going for someone better.

NO has won nine in a row and is the hottest team in the NFL while Philly has lost 4 in a row. Philly has the worst OL in football and NO has one of the best pass rushes in the NFL. Philly struggles against running QBs cuz their LBs are terrible. I could go on but I'll stop here.

He will just deactivate Gilmore, McCourtys, Guy and a couple of veteran OL.
Start Stidham and the Jets could beat the Pats.
Then Lawrence goes to Jacksonville.
He screws the Jets plan.

It’s not out of the question if the Pats are 6-9.

If they are 7-8 he may want to go 8-8 to not have a losing season.

I can live with a game against Lamar Jackson next year. Patriots defense got more athletic this year for people like him.

So that means Pats will get Ten/Jax at home and at Indy/Houston.
Buffalo will get Indy/Hou at home and at Ten/Jax.

If they play international games next year Buffalo-Jax could be in London.

their defensive DVOA as of now is 15th out of 32 ... that’s pretty solid ...
13th vs the run... which is what the Saints will be trying to do with their backup QB still starting
