Tanking has long passed for the Patriots.
Maybe. I do know Bill will do everything possible to screw the Jets and keep Lawrence from ny. I hope Alsacs knows the offense he might be starting week 17.

I don’t think Belichick will “tank”.
If they are 7-8 I think he will want 8-8.

If they are 6-9. Belichick deactivates Gilmore, McCourty, Guy, Mason, Andrews and starts Stidham under the guise he wants to see what he is in a whole game.

The Jets unless they started a non Flacco or Darnold QB would be competitive in that game.

You know how much he hates the Jets. Plus he doesn't want to deal with Lawrence. I can see it.

their defensive DVOA as of now is 15th out of 32 ... that’s pretty solid ...
13th vs the run... which is what the Saints will be trying to do with their backup QB still starting

We disagree.

Middle of the pack to me is average not solid. I watch them every week from start to finish. Solid front four, well below average back seven. I bet without peaking you couldn't name one of their LBs. Their defense is very easy to pass on and they rarely ever turn the opponent over. They've done well stopping opposing RBs but have gotten scorched by running QBs and passes to RBs out of the backfield which they'll see plenty of both on Sunday.

You're assuming the Jets will try to win.

you are out of your mind.

Keeps Lawrence out of the division. Don't be surprised if the opportunity arises he empties the practice squad and a lot of vets have phantom injuries

As Machiavellian as Belichick is with personnel moves, he doesn’t strike me as a guy who’d fear an unproven rookie QB enough to tank him out of the division.

Even one as highly touted as Lawrence.

To me, Lawrence is the most hyped “sure thing” since Peyton Manning.

And Bill beat Peyton for most of his career so I imagine he wouldn’t lose too much sleep with Lawrence on the Jets.

Might Bill try less to improve his draft slot? Maybe. Doubtful but possible.

Good pick by Dolphins, but on first offensive series you have to make that catch if you're going to beat the champs.

Mahomes just pulled a Troy Nunes on that sack (loss of yardage not the boneheaded INT)

Ahem

Roll phins

Playing the Patriots twice a year you are used to this, but with Mahomes being the new Brady in terms of referee protection you know that if it's close in crunch time the stripes will bail the Chiefs out.

Get up two scores and limit turnovers. Then pray

Chiefs with a nightmare start, but tyreek, my goodness.

Has the top broadcast team ever done a 1pm game when they have a doubleheader on their network?
Buck and Aikman are doing Minnesota-Tampa

Yes plenty of times.

Today is the day I decide to use the NYG in a teaser. And of course they revert back to the same old, same old.

Giants are a decent team but that offense is to bad to trust. When they couldn't put up points against Cincy a few weeks ago that was a red flag for me. There about to go to Colt Mccoy.

So, at the end of the first half, on 2nd down, Tua get sacked with about :15 left, at the Miami 45. Miami gets to the line with :10 left, and instead of spiking the ball with :03 left, to set up a 4th down Hail Mary, Miami lets the clock run out.

Dumb move by Flores.

refs missed a flag on the punt return for a td but the chiefs are just too good anyways
