Darnold was playing for his job.
He was solid as a rock today.
If the Jets wanted to tank they sit Darnold and play Flacco.
The fact Darnold played open this type of situation to happen.

Yeah made no sense. He said he was going for fourth downs early because he knew they had an uphill battle against a hot offense so he didn't kick the fg's, but when he was down 10 late he didn't go for it.

No sense is right. If you want to go for it, then fine...but why try some gimmicky crap (on which an OL is the target)? And then NOT going for it on 4th down when you truly need the points?
