The Raiders best not act competent Saturday

Will Buffalo play their starters Week 17 if they have their seed locked up? That may decide whether or not Miami or Baltimore qualifies.

Indy, Cleveland, Miami have to win out to make the playoffs.
If any of them lose and Baltimore wins out the team that loses is out.

Kansas City and Green Bay have the one seeds with one win each.

New Orleans wins out they are the 2.
Pittsburgh wins out they are the 2 seed.

7 seed in the NFC comes down to Arizona winning one game as Chicago won’t beat Green Bay most likely.

If Indy loses at Pittsburgh this week Baltimore will pass Indy they beat them head to head.
It would then become Indy vs. Miami winning out.

Buffalo week 17 is very interesting for Miami.
Buffalo could be playing for 2 seed and home field in the divisional round.

Pittsburgh has Indy and Cleveland left and would need to win both or buffalo could pass them unless buffalo loses at NE which I don’t want.

Imo it’d be silly to start Allen week 17 vs Miami but rivalries are rivalries

My guess is that if Buffalo's seed is locked in before their Week 17 game, they will play starters for a series or two and then go with backups. That's what they did last year, at least.

Cleveland and Baltimore will win this week. Miami has a slightly tougher game against the Raiders, but I think they win. Indy most likely loses against Pittsburgh, but the Steelers haven’t been great lately.

It’s likely right now that Bills will still have to be fighting for the 2 seed in week 17.

If Bengals win tonight then that outlook becomes much different because then in order for the Bills to be locked into the 2 seed going into week 17...

-Bills have to beat Pats
-Steelers have to lose to Colts next week
-Titans have to lose to the Packers next week.

Right - people forget that the Bills still have the Titans nipping at their heels.

If Miami beats Gruden, week 17 is going to be a war of epic proportions.

Assuming Buffalo is competing for the 2, I think they win and eliminate us from the playoffs. That being said, our defense has been performing on another level.

I have more faith in Miami than most.. I think they beat the Raiders rather easily. I don't see them having much to play for. Maybe Mariota does, who knows. Looking at the AFC (outside of Miami), Pittsburgh has the weakest offense. Nothing about them scares you. Cleveland, Tennessee, Buffalo, and Baltimore could all potentially win in a shootout with KC the way their offenses are playing. Pittsburgh can't. Buffalo probably is going to have to face a really good offense their first playoff game no matter who they play.

Fair, but the Titans aren't winning in Green Bay.
Green Bay is going to get run all over by the Tennessee OL.

Green Bay is such a smoke and mirrors show. They have one good win the entire season at New Orleans when NO was coming off a short week on MNF.

Jared Goff is why the Rams aren’t the favorite.
The Rams and Saints have good defenses.
Without a crowd at GB they don’t scare me. If the Packers end up in the SB the AFC wins it easily.

Yeah I will believe it when I see it when it comes to the Packers. The Saints made me so mad yesterday. They blew about 6-7 plays that would have made a difference on top of Cameron Jordan being an absolute idiot punching a guy on 4th down that lead to a Chiefs TD. The only good thing is Brees arm looked a lot stronger than it did early in the season. Still just a ton of missed opportunities.

This is first year of three wild cards right? They reshuffle these after the Wildcard round or is it a straight bracket with 1 seed getting bye? Anyone know?

The lowest ranked team will be playing at the 1 seed.

The winners of the 2 games will play at the higher seeded teams homefield.

So the 4,5,6,7 lowest at 1.

This reminds me of the Eagles in 1968 who picked up their first win on Thanksgiving and won the next week also, blowing their chance to get OJ. Wound up with Leroy Keyes, a good 2 way player at Purdue who never made it in the NFL.

Bright side is that Philly fans were spared Harold Carmichael as the Bronco driver 20 something years later!

This is pretty much where I'm at. Think they'd get steamrolled again if they had to play a team as good as last year's 49ers.
