Here's a really cool article on Howard Washington. I really like the content of this article by Jeff Irvine. It takes a look at 13 defensive possessions by Howard Washington showing a picture with the result. I really like this format.

But Washington has actually played fairly well in the zone during his limited playing time. As an example, here are the results of the 13 defensive possessions he played in the first half against Kansas.

Howard Washington has been a solid defender at the top of Syracuse's zone - The Juice Online

That is informative. There will be games where Frank's turnovers hamper the offensive flow and Howard will be called on, I think his minutes will go up from here. But Frank will remain the better defensive option.

I also followed the link to OBs draft prospects. Interesting analysis done there as well, and I expect his FG% to improve to the point he is questionable to return next year. Time will tell.

"The NBA Draft website DraftExpress provides advanced statistics for NBA draft prospects. The worst effective field goal percentage in their database of prospects for the 2017 and 2018 drafts is 48 percent. Similarly, The Ringer put together a guide to the 2017 draft, and only two of the guide’s top 30 players had an effective shooting percentage under 50 percent.

Brissett is shooting about 14 percent worse than where he needs to be to have a chance at the first round."

Besides all that meaningful stuff. I was just excited by the idea of having visual and textual content backing in such detail on a particular player in a rotation. I think I liked the way the article was done more than what it was saying!

I'm a visual person so I loved the photos to go along with the text.

The offensive efficiency is concerning...105. Concerning because we rebound so well so we aren’t giving up those extra possessions and new shot clocks like in recent years past. We are getting more possessions than in the last few seasons. Compare to Baylor and Virginia. 46 and 47. Now Baylor, Syracuse, and Virginia are some of the three slowest teams in college basketball. 335, 336, and 351 respectively in AdjT. Wow. Obviously we need to be more efficient offensively. That 105 number is pretty terrible considering how well we play defense and are finishing those defensive sequences with the rebound.
