No donor in the country picks the kids who play on the team. The coaches do. Just like they did this offseason, they ID guys and they get donors to buy in. A few stepped up this offseason for basketball. We even got some new big ones on the FB side during the spring portal, too.

If AW wants to give 2M for one guy, he can. He gives it to the collective (or soon enough to the program directly) and coordinates with the coaches. It’s not hard. He can promote that he’s a big donor. If he wants publicity for his businesses he can even do marketing deals with players directly now.

something doesn’t add up unless it’s all about wanting to show up with celebs and get special treatment and to flaunt the rules everyone else has to follow in the Dome. Why should one person get their own rules just because they bring a celeb?
I’d argue AW is watching Repole and Pitino at St John’s and wants that same deal. Sitting on the bench with the players basically in the handshake line after games. Getting a hug after games from coach. Bankrolling the big name guys.

Just cruising on Twitter and there seems to be a mess transpiring due to this podcast. It seems that the lallys may be receiving serious threats from “fans”.

This whole thing is ridiculous. Why doesn’t AW just go away if he is not welcome? Regardless of where anyone falls on this topic. The accounts that are attacking the folks that are sharing their own interactions with AW are being doubted and threatened by accounts just created this weekend or recently.

I don’t know any of these people involved but a lot of this seems to be hyper narcissistic behavior. Something is way off here. No way does SU turn down millions of dollars without reason.
I’m with you but if the board sided with lallys because they give more money that sorta sucks for SU to put them in that situation.

Well according to a few posts by different folks, the lallys had nothing to do with the situation. It was a university decision. If you have Twitter go to Etans page and look at the comments under his posts about his interview with AW. If what a few of those people are saying is true, there has been only one person causing all of the issues and bringing them into it. It sounds like it is true because they have screenshots. Who knows though. I just find the whole thing exhausting and the fact it is still being kept alive after 2.5-3 years is unbelievable.

Maybe true. I have no idea. I just know she jumped into the messages on the Etan devo show when AW came up. It’s beyond exhausting but seems like a lot of BS throwing

I’m with you. Just crazy that the IG account by Aiden Media and now etan start bringing all of this nonsense to the forefront again. What’s the reason and how much are they being paid? Something is not adding up here. Why doesn’t he just go away? The attention?

I think the ET and Devo podcast were discussing ways to improve NIL It’s makes sense they are in off season but AW came up and stirred up old stuff. Next show they had they talked about a woman who jumped in there messages of the show saying all sorts of things It ended up being Lally. I just don’t understand her getting in the messages. From what they said it seemed a bit abrasive. Here we are

I’d agree with you but their discussion about nil started when etan started sharing the Aiden media video and creating the poor AW narrative. They had another show after Fridays with AW? I believe that was their last episode.

Im not sure what parts are played but I think Lallys have a part to play. I can only take what is said by AW at face value. It’s sad that they can’t get this squared away behind closed doors. Too much pride with all that money it seems

I think it's pretty clear at this point. There are people that know one side's story and those that know more of the whole story and are not at liberty to share it, at this point. So, maybe we chill until they are able to share. I know that this crap makes me sick. We all want what's best for Syracuse athletics.

How is anyone suppose to chill when Weitsman won’t shut his mouth and keeps feeding people ammunition to get angry.

Welp I’m out on this. I made the mistake of asking why one of the burner accounts whole account is devoted to defending one person. They replied asking me about my job. Can’t risk personal loss or ending up in a trunk because I’m confused by this whole situation. Something is fishy about this whole thing.

Don't listen to him. I don't think it's him bringing this back up, I think that is back on Eton and Devo. Does he play along, definitely. He wants back in, doing the same thing he was doing before, bringing celbrities to games and going after THE target in each class and likely doing what it takes to land him. But, I think he is ok with being out of the picture. But, when it is brought back up, he is re-engaged.

One family has donated probably 50 million to SU sports and it’s not the guy you’re sticking up for in this thread who maybe has been good for a million total.
So the amount they donated makes them right? Not sticking up for either but I find her jumping in messages extremely odd.

It's ego BS. If both sides could talk it out, hopefully they could come to common ground. Syracuse would benefit having all donors involved.

X is a cesspool. I deleted 2 weeks ago. Redownloaded to see the comments you were talking about. Didn’t see anything much different than here and no screen shots. Wouldn’t reply to anything there

Totally agree. I agree with your take. I don’t get the hate and siding with one or the other. There is a lot I assume that isn’t out but based on what has been said it seems it’s all egos that come with lots of money. Takes 2

If he was ok with being out of the picture he could do like SU and just not comment on it or refuse an interview. He also could shut up about it on social media.

How Etan and Devo have a podcast that literally does not talk about any of the players we signed this year is beyond me. They are the same people that said we would lose Freeman in February. It may have been a good time to admit they were wrong. Instead they are still complaining about NIL when we outbid a blue blood in our own conference for a starting point guard.

The entire topic drives me nuts, because most of what is discussed a loudly driven narrative by AW supporters. Quite frankly the AW supporters remind me of partisan political supporters. Their side can do no wronnnggg.

Admittedly, I am biased. I have heard one side for like 3 years. But, I just want all of this to get worked out so that SYRACUSE benefits. Adam is a basketball fan, so his concentration would be Syracuse basketball, not the university, not football, but Basketball. Although, I believe he would donate to Syracuse football as well. But, he is not going to donate to a collective. He mentions it in the interview with Etan. He wants to do it his way. Sure, things would be simpler if he would just donate to collectives, but that's not what he wants to do. I still think it could work.

Not true, I consider Adam a friend. I would love if he would just donate to the collective. But, he wants to do differently with his money. His money is considerable, likely in the multiple millions per year (go ahead and laugh at my post morons). But, he is not an alum, he is a fan. He wants to have go back to having fun and attention from the experience (my words, not his). I get it. For us fans wanting Syracuse basketball to get back to where we are used to it being, his millions matter, and we want this to get worked out.

None of that explains how it got to this point. Lost in the drivel
