NIT @ MSG question

This tourney is rather weak this year. The Preseason NIT used to be THE best early season tournament. This year there's not even one other ranked team in it...hell, there's not even one other team "receiving votes" in the polls.

It seems like the Maui Classic is leading the way for quality preseason tourney these days.

The only thing that interests me about the NIT field is that I don't know if SU has ever faced Stanford. There was a time when they were a marquee opponent, though they're in a couple year slump at the moment.

And could they have picked less attractive ACC and Big XII opponents?

yep just realized that was the day after thanksgiving, makes sense now
