It is frustrating as hell knowing the best way we're getting the ball is if Will Mark makes a save

I'm more positive at this point. We had ND on the run for a while - they looked rattled, confused on D and shaky on clears. This team has some real potential and the offense is already at an elite level IMO. If fogo is solved, I see this team a serious contender for next year.

Unacceptable is an understatement. More like pathetic & as disgraceful as it gets.

This is SYRACUSE lacrosse for crying out loud, and its program should never appear so incredibly incapable at any aspect of it!

I have serious reservations about Gary Gait as the HC of this team.

This stings. They had it going and then just fell apart after that horrible missed call. Why not call a timeout at some point in that run to try and rally them? Kinda late to try Gibbs with 2 minutes left and you've lost like 15 face offs in a row.

Yes, I understand that players need to execute but it's on the coaching staff when changes aren't made when things aren't working. Same guys on face off wings that are a no show in scrums or can't get a groundball, riding one face off guy no matter his performance, trotting the same offense players out who aren't performing, not switching up defensive schemes to at least try to slow down an opposing offense. I don't have a lot of confidence in the rest of the season if Gait, Petro, and March aren't going to switch things up.

Desko was great at making in game adjustments most of the time and I'm just not seeing that out of any of the coaches right now.

The staff responded like deer in the headlights why are we surprised when the players do too if this team goes on another losing streak to end the season I could see what talent there is start jumping into the portal this is a very different day and age

This is a lot like 2021 - deja vu all over again. Defense crumbles under pressure, coaches don't adjust when fogos struggle, talented offense and goalie wasted, coaches don't adjust on D, coaches don't call timeouts to stop opponent runs etc.

BUT, I like the young talent! I just hope the coaches can get it together.

Down 4 finally get faceoff rosa in trouble with no one going to help while also subbing call dam timeout gait what are you doing. Feel he just stands on sidelines n watched game not actually coaching. That clear goal no goal was huge turn around without doubt. Also mark has been solid all year but he did let way to many low angle near post goals today. Least 3 went right over him near side. Hug that post tight giving them no angle. Think we touched ball maby 4 times that 4th qtr.? Also think obly team who won’t double pole faceoffs. We need clary back for sure and really need a big dmid. Rosa just doesn’t have footwork or speed to keep up with middies. Also need to start throwing stick checks to steal ball. Besides the 3-4mins of letting 9 goals in thought team fought hard to get back into it. But once again the inexperienced shows up towards end of game and not winning faceoffs magnifies it.

We also let many chances go when was tied to take lead. Hiltz shot while joey was creeping was big hurt hiltz needs to be smarter then that. Plus joey was open on backside should of dished it. Truely believe with solid fogo who could just win 50% this team would be completely diff. Anyteam who plays defense as much as us is bound to break eventually. Get tired n then get lazy. Fogo is a must. I could be wrong since believe heard it from one of the lame announcers early in season say johnny was referred to gait by td irlean. Not sure if that is true what irlean saw cause it isn’t good.

I hope this team doesn’t lose confidence cause they are truely truely talented. Faceoffs crush them yes but they are dangerous when have ball. Horrible lost but need to forget it and worry bout getting a dub next week cause princeton who is looking better from their start.

It may be a different day and age but when facing some adversity I really hope we don't have a bunch of guys just looking to bail.

Also feel our entire team has not clicked or played full 60mins vs good teams. Mark started off not good letting first 5 shots go in. Really need it all to come together at once and right now if this team wants to make anything. Lucky have plenty of good wins to get but playing how did in first and last qtr is not gonna get it done .

To be fair the top class was recruited by Desko. The next two classes are top 10 but neither are top 5 or close to the 2022 class Desko put together.

They couldn't call timeout, they didn't have possession in the box. Rosa got stuck in no mans land and no one came to help him. Unfortunately it's been something we've seen a lot of lately, guys not coming to the ball carrier and just quick running off to sub.

It’s the modern way I don’t like it but it is what it is. The offense is better when they have the ball it’s creative and exciting I do credit Gait with that but he’s the head coach he needs to take charge of this staff and take some ownership of his team’s performance.

The team is a year away, at least:

1. There is nobody on the roster that can take face-offs. This is a recruiting/portal issue that needs to be addressed.

2. The offense, while talented, too ofter takes shots that might have worked in high school, but not at this level. That will come in time.

3. The defense - they need better players. Plain and simple. Another recruiting/portal issue.

So then how does one define possession? When the ball makes contact with the stick? When a player has control of the ball? From watching all the replays and gifs floating around, Entenmann doesn't have clear possession and control of the ball until he's flat on his back with the stick pretty much touching the back of the goal.
