There's a big difference in the talent level, but you can't help but think there's very little motivation for these guys to put in the effort.
Kind of looks like they're going through the motions which is probably what the staff (if they are honest) is doing too.

Pretty embarrassing for the program and the school.

I feel like I am missing something that is causing this team to look like absolute garbage. And it’s not a talent issue or a poor coaching issue (ERob) or even a QB issue. This team is quit yet Fran’s demeanor makes it look like he is cool with it (even the ND coach looks embarrassed). What the hell am I missing?
Young team brought in 34 freshmen, the staff missed on most of the portal class they brought in and mixed with losing your star qb and having a brutal schedule and you get this.👍

He didn’t “identify” McCord… McCord was a 5 star QB coming off a 11-1 season where he wasn’t great enough, he was plenty good and would’ve most definitely signed somewhere big had he not chose us. It’s not like we found him playing backyard football.

And yes he “identified” Angeli but also “identified” Filardi, Carney and Jackhari, and Collins and look where we are.

He identified Angeli as the starter, and the other guys as "not starters"

Could you imagine starting Collins every week while Angeli was buried on the bench?

Tennessee is worse than expected
UConn is better than expected
Colgate was as expected
Clemson is worse than expected
Duke is worse than expected
SMU is about the same
Pitt is maybe a tad better than expected
UNC is worse than expected
Ga Tech was as a good as expected
Miami was as good as expected

No he identified Collins as a starter, that’s why he’s getting paid 500K to throw picks. And he identified Filardi as the best active QB on the roster which is a joke.

These guys recruited Carney, he was offered and committed very early in the process (3/25/2024) and the staff never wavered from him.
Yeah, that's a part of this that also bothers me. He committed early, which should mean they really liked him then. He was an early enrollee, so he got spring practice under his belt. He started the season 3rd on the depth chart. And then at some point they were like "it's better to have guys throwing interceptions at a crazy rate than it is to play Carney more than two series."

What happened exactly?

Brown said he got a little help from his wife, Teara, who worked at a hospital with McCord's dad, former Rutgers quarterback Derek McCord.

"My wife did that. Her and his father worked together at the hospital. My wife was in school and her clinical was becoming an RN before she became a nurse anesthetist and he worked there also,"

Tennessee is still ranked so who cares if they are worse .

Interim starter until he found someone better.

You'd think a reporter might ask that question.

Something is going on behind the scenes with Carney that we obviously are not privy to.
Stop. The kid doesnt have it. There are notable posters on here all Year claiming how good belin has been in practice and he can’t see the field in this dumpster fire. Sometime there isn’t a conspiracy, have to call a spade a spade and carney is a bust.

If i'm Angeli's agent i'm salivating at the mouth
there is good P4 school with a good Oline to target and pluck him by telling him transfer here and you start, plus he'll have 2 years there

Stop it with this Nonsense. It was all Champagne and Cavier when we won 10 games last year. Look at the predictions for this year tht were made last year, based on our schedule, most had us at 5 wins!! Hard to judge Fran's ability as a coach, when you have this kind of talent gap...We have no QB!!! Give the Fran can't coach stuff a rest...Knute Rockney couldn't win with this roster..
This schedule has not turned out to be remotely as difficult as it looked preseason. With an Angeli this is a nine win team...however, the roster is on Fran, as is the coaching staff.

“5th on the depth chart behind 5 scholarship quarterbacks?”
