Notre Dame is about to vacate their 2012 season

There are still widely differing reports on the players' punishments. FoxSports is saying they are dismissed but Yahoo Sports is saying nothing and USA Today is saying they were removed from the team but it might not be permanent.

I imagine there isn't enough time before the regular season to fix this properly ... do you think the tutor was a Rice fan? (their opening game)

If this is true and it does look like it, as an ND fan, I am certainly not proud of what the players did, but I am proud of how the school is responding as it did with Golson and Grant last year. There is a minor league for athletes who are not students, the problem is only a few schools care about this and do anything about it.

I'd be careful about getting up on that Notre Dame high horse if I were you. Given the choice between a school taking rape charges seriously or academic fraud seriously, I'd prefer the school that doesn't help cover up rape (and I'm looking at you too, FSU).

Seeing "The Brand" is a senior, I would imagine he'd transfer to a D2 school so he didn't have to sit out a year.

IF he gets permanently suspended for academic fraud, no school will admit him. That is a fact.
