Notre Dame looking to pull out of SU game

For some reason, the game scheduling with Notre Dame has been odd. From 2016 to 2029, the games played/scheduled: 3 in Syracuse, 2 in South Bend, 1 in NYC, 1 in NJ. We all know that Notre Dame will try to do what they want to do as they always have.

My brother just heard on the radio ND wants to move the game to Yankee Stadium, not sure what local station he heard that on
not surprise. they'll argue it was unclear whose home game it was so therefore should be at a "neutral" site.

I’m pulling my eyes out of the ND game 11/22 that’s for sure
2008 Gerg's team that won at ND was a huge upset. This 2025 doing the same would be an even bigger upset since this year's ND team is way better than the 2008 version.

Let's bring in LSWho.

Spot on Kirby. We were only 19.5 dogs that day. But it was glorious to be in person to watch Antwan Spider Bailey run for 126 yards. Golden Tate had a nice 150 yd. 2 TD game. And the students turned on their own recruits pelting them with snowballs. Notre dame finished that year…wait for it….6-6!!!

We will be approx 27 point dogs next Saturday. So yes it will be a bigger upset.

Gimme Stanford, pile up the OOC wins (Stanford would be OOC in this scenario). Though at U Conn isn’t a laughing matter anymore.

Keep in mind the ACC schedules all of the contractually required Notre Dame games including sites and opponents. And that there will inevitably be changes to next year’s schedule since a ninth conference game will be scheduled. Last I heard discussions were ongoing on whether the conference will just add a ninth game next year or scrap the entire conference slate going forward and rebuild it. This could include Notre Dame games in which case next year’s game could conceivably be impacted. Strong assumption was that they would add a game in 2026 and rebuild starting in 2027. In that case we would drop either Toledo or Uconn depending on whether the ninth conference game is home or away. SU was not happy with this as the individual schools are on the hook for any buyouts with no support from the conference. They would either have to find a suitable replacement opponent or pay a $1MM buyout. I will reach out to get more information as the last info I received is about a month old. Might be a couple of weeks until I can though.
