Notre Dame Post Game

You may have seen a blueberry or strawberry but you ain’t seen nothing until you’ve seen a Shrewsberry

Analysts ' "Basketball has rapidly evolved into a much more outside based, spread floor game, with so many more players better able to shoot the 3"

Syracuse Orange 2024/2025 - First game in 10 years without a 3 point shot.

Long season just got longer. We all need to accept the limitations of this squad. Only chance (pun intended) we have is if Westry gets back to his old self and reaches his full potential extremely quickly so he can replace Carlos at PG. If JC continues to log massive minutes at point this team will struggle to win 10 games.
This is not a "one player solves it" issue, this is an all around bad team. Interior Offensively is inconsistent, they are defensively inept, cant shoot from deep, cant even shoot free throws... This isnt solved by Chance this is a coaching and talent evaluation problem

Some other games this year you can make the case the other team had better talent etc etc. Today we lost the game because of coaching. No way should Red get a third year. I don't need to see another "best recruiting class ever" save a coach that should be gone.

Another well deserved loss.
The Autry love affair with Taylor continues. Can anyone explain it?
The $700M man not even on the floor during crunch time. I realize they miss JJ but give me a break, the Red rotations are awful. Beginning to think 8 wins might not be reachable for this crew.

This one is on Red.
On the biggest possession of the game, he had numerous opportunities to call a time out. The play was going absolutely nowhere and ended with Lucas Taylor firing up a runner. Just awful.
There was no apparent strategy to his substitutions. Davis was having a terrific game and he took him out to put in Lampkin so he could travel and get burned on defense.
A good coach doesn’t let the other team‘s best player beat you and that’s basically what Shrewsbury did. How can you leave that kid wide open from three?
Red told us this team could shoot threes. It’s like he doesn’t even know his own team.
We did nothing to get Choppa open.
This was Carlos‘s best game, which is not saying a ton, but to say otherwise would be just being a hater. But the long two he took was an absolute killer which led to the foul on Davis.
Donnie could’ve scored 30 points, likely 20 from the line if we had maybe even a little bit of an effort to get him to the rim.
Disgraceful loss against an awful team.

I wrote this post on Nov 17th when we were 3-0 and ended it asking if anyone would take the O/U of 2.5 wins when we had the two games at Brooklyn, Cornell, Tenny and ND among some notes on how much runway Red should get.

Tell me what coach is going to win with this group? All teams have to do is get Lampkin in a switch with a good shooter and we can’t stop it. This is maybe the poorest offensive team I’ve ever seen at SU. I don‘t know how we can beat a a decent team. My biggest complaint is how ND can get their best shooter ten three point attempts and we can’t ever get our shooters good shots. It’s gone on forever.
