Do research, the three guys that were mentioned are being mentioned for a reason.Three guys from Siena in our 8 man rotation?
Please no. The NIL infusion is supposed to prevent that kind of thing.

I’m familiar. They’re low major players. Maybe one, maybe, can hang in the ACC.Do research, the three guys that were mentioned are being mentioned for a reason.
I don’t think I made my point strenuously enough.
We CAN’T have three guys from *Siena* in our 8 man rotation!
I know a couple played OK in one half vs. Duke. That doesn’t mean they can hang against an 18 game ACC schedule and multiple good OOC opponents.
Gerry is the coach in large part because he’s the primary vehicle for a boatload of booster money. That money needs to buy us a great lineup. Not act as a jobs program for Siena players.
That’s fine. I’m just already exasperated at how small people are thinking. In fairness Moesch is a top 160 recruit who has outplayed guys rated well above him and is only Siena via a large NIL commitment choosing them over PC. Folefac is probably the 9th man which I would argue is outside the rotation so technically it’s just Doty who would be in the rotation. Doesn’t reduce the point being made around who should get the minutes in them being major portal additions but I don’t think it’s fully correct to point to it as 3 Siena guys in the rotation.
I can't speak for the 2026 recruit, Moesch. But Doty and Folefac can absolutely hang in the ACC. Doty could potentially start with his current trajectory. And you know what, if he does everything better than the other guards who may have more raw talent, he will start, even if he isn't playing starting minutes overall. Because that is how Boeheim did things as well is that talent gave you the advantage to starting, but you had to be a good role model as well to get that starting role.I’m familiar. They’re low major players. Maybe one, maybe, can hang in the ACC.
We will see what happens, but the glue guys to me are even more important than the top tier talent. That was one issue last season, we had no glue guys or players that bought into being glue guys. That’s fine. I’m just already exasperated at how small people are thinking.
We have the money, go get big time players. Stop with the inferiority complex. Talent wins.
The “glue guys” are *absolutely* not more important than top tier talent. We didn’t become an elite program because of “glue guys”. We became an elite program because of Pearl and Coleman and Wallace and Anthony and Flynn and Johnson, etc.We will see what happens, but the glue guys to me are even more important than the top tier talent. That was one issue last season, we had no glue guys or players that bought into being glue guys.

I can say for a fact that the one you are talking about has every coach hitting him up to come play there. They all think he can contribute at a high level.I’m familiar. They’re low major players. Maybe one, maybe, can hang in the ACC.
I like Kingz on both sides of the ball. We have an entire roster to fill, not just a few spots, which can be a tall order. So if he's already here and wants to stay, we definitely should keep him. But then go get superstars from the portal and let Kingz play a role.I don’t get the Kingz love around here. He smacks of the “he’s a decent player for Cuse, so we overvalue his worth” syndrome that has plagued these boards for so long. He’s an okay player. Nothing more. We certainly need a lot better than him as a primary player if we’re ever going to get a lot better and return to competing for top conference finishes. Filling your roster with players like Kingz will get you a nice fat 8th - 12th place finish in the ACC. Is that what we all want? No, we need to step up the acquisitions big time.
My minor pushback on this would be whether or not Folefac would come here if the time is that insignificant. Maybe he would, honestly no idea.In fairness Moesch is a top 160 recruit who has outplayed guys rated well above him and is only Siena via a large NIL commitment choosing them over PC. Folefac is probably the 9th man which I would argue is outside the rotation so technically it’s just Doty who would be in the rotation. Folefac is a high potential physical body 5-10 mpg player unless he has a monster summer. A year away as a key contributor at this level but reasonable depth.
Moesch is the unknown. His tape and how he played against much higher rated guys is eye opening especially given he’s a good athlete too. All that is nothing to what matters most and that’s the bigtime additions we get in the portal. Can’t get that wrong.
I agree. He’s a role player. To your point, keep him if he wants to stay for sure. But he’s not something to “build around”. I hope we can get the players that we need to supplant players like Kingz because so many thought we had a roster to compete based on players like him, but clearly we didn’t. This years roster was sub par to compete at the top of the conference. So, agree with your take. I’m just saying, he cannot be a primary player or we’re in trouble again. I’d say the same for most of our current players actually. He just seems to be a bit overrated by most.I like Kingz on both sides of the ball. We have an entire roster to fill, not just a few spots, which can be a tall order. So if he's already here and wants to stay, we definitely should keep him. I think this would be more fair if people were saying we just need to add Doty and our team is set. The idea is you get Doty and the other two guys that likely come cheap and then have money to make your big splash at PG and C. Those two positions and whatever combo of White, Kiyan, and Donnie that we keep are going to cost us a ton. That’s fine. I’m just already exasperated at how small people are thinking.

I wonder
This is where things get real tricky for me lol. Liked him a lot in high school but he has done almost literally nothing in 3 years of college. If we're taking 3 players from Siena, he should not be one of them but I am definitely curious to see how he does where ever he lands.
Not sure who you are responding to but for me, I would like to redshirt Moesch to give him a year to get stronger and use Fennell or.someone like him as the backup PG. Moesch will need some time to be ready to play at this level IMHO.Three guys from Siena in our 8 man rotation?

Yeah I think at this point he has to go somewhere where he can get serious minutes and try to build himself back up. At best a year too soon for us.I wouldn’t even want him for the 15th roster spot given his struggles…
