Obokoh Cleared

Otto, let's just say I didn't choose my current avatar at random . . .

Boo! Boo! Boo, Moqui! Boo!

So... uh, should we get on some late recruitment for a forward for 2014?

Please God Let Roberson be cleared on time! Everything I read about him points to him being a good kid.

Sacks stressed that in Roberson, Syracuse will get more than just a skilled basketball player:
"He's a great human being. He has great manners and is so soft-spoken," Sacks said. "And Tyler is a gym rat. All he wants to do is work on his game. He never takes a day off. He never complains."

I think in Tyler Roberson I’m going to have the No. 1 (pick),” Pyonin told Larry Brown Sports. “I had Kyrie Irving who was the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft. I think Tyler Roberson will be right there when he’s ready to go.” When asked to compare Roberson to an NBA player, Pyonin mentioned Kevin Durant. Pyonin has coached or worked with 32 NBA players in his nearly 40 years of coaching. There are many recognizable names on the list — Irving, Al Harrington, Randy Foye, Dahntay Jones, Brevin Knight, Eric Williams, and former Duke stars Jay Williams and Bobby Hurley.

Not many recruits are as family oriented as Tyler Roberson. The 2013 combo forward is boasted by the strong love from his parents, Carla and Edmon, as well as his siblings. When you think of a humble and grounded player, Tyler is the one that comes to mind. He doesn't say much, doesn't make a big scene out of things, and more importantly doesn't come off as ignorant or cocky in the slightest.

If he attends classes as a non-qualifier, he could jeopardize all of his eligibility. Better off to wait just in case he doesn't make it, as he could defer admission until January.
