Honestly, what is it right now?

We run no huddle yet we do not hurry up.

There are issues with communication (see the pick six versus Maryland and the timeouts x 2 at the end of Friday night).

So why don't we huddle up? Get everyone on the same page. Have set hurry up plays ready to go, like when you bust off a long gainer and end up on the one yard line. Hurry up then and plow it into the end zone. Understand the tempo of a game.

Also, why do we run out of a shotgun set? Almost any nose tackle we have gone up against has spent most of the day living in the backfield blowing up zone reads before they can even start. From what I have heard the current center is the only one who can snap shotgun. Well, go under center, move Trudo to center, put Robinson on the right, Palmer on the left, and hope Foy gets healthy.

Our starting QB is banged up right now and definitely less mobile then earlier this year. Our backup (BACKUP) is a pocket passer. So why do we run a spread zone read offense? If the OB is not a stud then why are we running a offense that requires him to be a stud? Why not lean on that 235lb running back and our other senior running back who has good open field vision? Why did we run 22 times against Louisville?

Our defense is not bad. Definitely good enough to win some games here on out. Why not help the defense, get to a bowl, continue to build the program, and tailor your team to the talent you have by going with a ball control offense with a power run game? And for the love of god find someone who can coach specials OR spend more time on specials than what you are spending. We are not good enough to give up big plays on specials and routinely get blown up at the 10 yard line on kick returns.

could do without motion in the offense that does not serve any purpose, AAM in the slot, zone reads with a banged up quarterback. we had a lot of success in 2012 running inside zone out of the gun. It's too bad that our TEs and Clay Cleveland all look like they lost about 20 lbs

We ran 22 times because they had 8-9 in the box. The only antidote is making some throws.

we need to huddle up for the players to focus. there must be way to much communication being rushed and the players look confused. it would give this team time to circle the wagons and be sure everyone is on the same page. right now they look like the keystone cops out there

If Hunt didn't throw ten feet long or short or behind or in front of the receivers the plays will work. Huddle smuddle doesn't matter. They get the play in plenty of time. Receivers are open all over the field.

If Hunt is truly not able to run he has to make those passes or we have no offense. He is almost 1/3 of the rushing game.

I've come to the conclusion that we need to stop p*ssyfooting around and open up the bank account to get into the top 1/3rd of the ACC in pay if we want a coaching staff that is in the top 1/3rd of the ACC in talent.

Our athletic dept. has the money. We just need the will to spend it on football instead of wherever the h-e-double hockey stick it's going now.

No amount of scheming is going to help a coaching staff that can't prepare kids for game day. We're slow, small for our speed, and disorganized. We also lack discipline. That is on the coaches.

Said it before and I'll say it again- it's much easier for a coach to adjust his schemes/formations/plays to match the personnel than it is for the players to change their talent/skill to match the coach's system.

It's the same with basketball.
