Class of 2015 Offers so far for 2015...

Put up a thread with a recruiting vid, and I'm sure everyone on here will let you know, one way or another.
I've seen others chastised (sp.?) for less, including myself. But worth it if he is worth a look.

On to 2015! Shafer said today on TWC that it will be heavy on linemen! Also expecting 2-3 RBs.

Can someone more familiar with HS football share if there is any 4/5 star NYS guys?

Is wheatley 2015 or 2016?

Wheatley will most likely be the consensus top 2015 NYS recruit.

There are a couple solid RB's downstate. Not 4/5 star though. Jonathan Forrest - New Rochelle, and Anthony DuBose - Newburgh Free.

2015 doesn't look like a strong year for NYS

As far as I can tell Tyrone is the only NYS kid in the Rivals Top 250 or Scout Top 300. New York generally produces only a literal handful of 4* and 5* players.

Agree not a smart post

This is Shafer press conference quotes about NY verbatim:

"we targeted about six or seven kids in the state of New York we really wanted. we got those offers out to the ny kids early and we hit them hard. We came away with two commitments out of New York. to be quite honest with you I would have loved to get all seven kids that we targeted. We're still fighting that fight. To keep the kids at home and all we can do is continue to improve the product and hope that helps us to keep those kids at home."

"If we could of kept the kids at home in-state I never would be in Atlanta right now"

"The goal is to try and keep our kids at home. We haven't been able to do that to the level we want to losing to the Florida's, Clemson last year, Notre Dame this year, lost to Pitt, but that's the reality of it and some of those were circumstantial with regards to who we had on our roster and those kids said well maybe it's not for me. I can play earlier at this place. So we're going to fight that fight"

Im hoping this is the cycle where we land a consensus 4 star RB

Definites (and this is 6 kids and likely the only kids offered)

ATH - Curtis Samuel – Ohio State
DT - Thomas Holley - Florida
DT - Jay Hayes – Notre Dame
RB - Qadree Ollison - Pitt
DB - Naesean Howard - Syracuse
DT - Wayne Williams - Syracuse

Potential Guesses if we offered 7:

DT - Pete Mokwuah – Buttgers flip to Notre Dame
DB - Jalen Williams - Pitt
OG - Jacquis Webb - Buttgers

I also wondered if the 7th could’ve been a Milford, Nassua or Asa kid that he grouped with NY

That was the only statement in HCSS press conf. I didn't like as I thought it could be used against us recruiting GA and other places. May be true, but...

Who has committable offers on the table already for 2015? The only two I can think of off the top of my head are Kittles and Livingstone.
Any idea on expected class size for next year? Its looking like 27/28 for next year.

Depends on a ton of things including transfers, NFL draft declarations, academic ineligibility, etc. But as it stands right now i'd say anywhere between 25-30 spots will be open after this next year.

Perception is reality. Interesting a football player at one of NYS top teams thinks this way. Alot has to do with what others say about Syracuse to a 15 yr old. I wonder what the scuttlebut is in NY on Syracuse and what his coaches and other players are saying. We have work to do.

Rob Moore was right
He just should not have said it
It is not just NYC
It is prevalent in Western NY too

So, to summarize: Syracuse has offered every prospect in the eastern US today.
Every 'TOP' prospect. These are the easy ones to offer. Every college is. Hopefully we get in early on a few of these and get a few visits.
