Right. Jerome Smith, who broke a 35 yard run for a TD last week. How can you say Laray Smith has that talent but DMF and Morris don't? I thought Morris was going to get the 44 from you last year? Now he's not good enough? And Laray's better than Gus? How do you know? Because you watched a few highlight tapes?

It was over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor ... just let him go ...

Bromley, Walls, and Zian Jones are all SR's next year and Goggins leaves after this year - so that's 4 DT's gone from the roster - I wouldn't be surprised if we took another high school DT this class too if there's a legit prospect available. We have Wayne Williams and I. Johnson on board so far, another body wouldn't hurt. I'd love to see 2 DT's redshirt next year.
Plus...it looks like Johnson might end up at DE. Can't have enough beef inside.

Bnoro, I respect your opinions on the young guys more than just about anyone. Who do you feel will fill in for current RBs after next year?

Obviously, I'm not bnoro but Smith has two more years so we'd only have to replace Gulley. With Morris and DMF on board next year, I think PTG might lose a few touches. We'll see.

Forgive me. PTG after next year, and whoever may be in the mix after that in particular. Have to imagine AB will find somewhere to play consistently

Hopefully after a RS season, Gus Edwards steps right in and contributes as the big back. He has great size for a HS RB.

Is Gus going to be a rb or lb? After a redshirt year there would be a chance to start at lb. my impression is that he likes contact. Which is also why I would not advocate a move of broyld to lb (in that he does not appearntonbe a big fan of contact)

Personally my #1 would be Morris if he puts on a few more pounds. I think DMF would be suited in a Dexter McCluster role, lining up at both RB and WR and getting open in space. Can't see AAM being more than a short yardage back. Can't pass judgement on Gus until he gets here.

Why not ... that doesn't stop Cali :)

Not sure his NFL dream precludes Syracuse. In fact, I'd say the opposite,

See: Jones, Chandler ... lets face it ... the NY media is full of idiots that don't do research.

I guess they are surmising that since getting to the NFL is important to him, going SEC would be his best choice since he could focus on football in lieu of academics. But as they also point out, he is a stellar student, so academics is obviously important to him as well.

I've said it before and I'll say it a million times over ... if you are good enough to play in the NFL you will be selected no matter where you play ... look at all the small school guys that get selected ... its an idiotic statement from a writer who obviously does very little research. But here is a great number 1, the number of SU players selected in the 1st round of last year's draft. 0 the number of players from Florida, Ole Miss and Clemson selected in the 1st round of the draft. Is that an every year event? Of course not ... but don't write the opposite as if its gospel either.

We are the last visit with his best friend already committed and selling him hard. I am not ready to give up yet.

Is he really his best friend, though? Seems like they are just good friends. I just found it awfully strange that he had to go to Twitter to ask who won the SU-Louisville game. Nobody texted him? Gus didn't? Staff didn't? Just seems weird.

Why the hell does he need to be twittered? He doesn't care enough apparently to watch the game or look it up afterwards? If he doesn't care he ain't coming here.
