Those things almost NEVER say Syracuse, despite us having recruited the kids.No matter what, it's good to have high profile recruits visit you. When he chooses Clemson or Florida the ESPN ticker will likely say, he chose them over the other school and Syracuse which can't be bad pub.
I am pretty sure we have zero chance now, besides you are not pulling the offer just saying our resources are better spent elsewhere.Because you have ZERO chance if he doesn't visit. You're still selling your program, to the kid, to the family, to the high school coach, to future prospects at the school.

There you go. He is a flighty teenager who seems besotted with every place he visits. Get him here to see his friends and you never know what happens. Maybe after the back six this year, guys on the team sell him. Maybe he sees Shafer eating raw venison off the carcass in the morning and is sold on the spot.Because you have ZERO chance if he doesn't visit. Besides, the cost is peanuts and schools are allotted like 50 (or more) paid trips a year. Syracuse probably barely uses half of them.

@Ebenezer_O_1: Got alot of love for UF and Clemson it's gonna be hard choosing between the two.

Like that maybe, but not that.SU is like the kid who has a 2 year degree and is trying to get into Goldman Sachs.
Getting Scrooge is surely preferable to not getting him but I think he needs s visit from those three spirits in order to get his act together. We should know a week from today if the work for him has been worthwhile along with a couple others. Humungous weekend next week. Why have him in for the visit if his mind is already made up. Sell it as we are focusing our efforts on guys who want to be here, not offering weekend get aways. Winter break is coming soon he can hang with his boys then.
It was over when he cancelled his july conference. way too much time wasted talking about somebody that clearly wanted to be elsewhere. Until we are back as a traditional top 25 team, we need to go after top talents anywhere in the country that will come here. Lets face it, NY is not the hotbead of a talent pool, and what it does have is will be highly contended with the B1G in town now as well. Not that DM can't still compete in NY, but we need to focus on GA, FL, TX and hopefully compete locally in NJ and PA as well.Alright, I'm done with this kid. We've wasted enough time. Lets chase players that want to be here.
Moving on.
I'd love to see a kid like him shutout and forced to go JC. I would laugh up to signing day knowing the kid lost a year of Div1 experience. It would serve him right. It was over when he cancelled his july conference. way too much time wasted talking about somebody that clearly wanted to be elsewhere. He is looking to enroll in January, so I think it is unlikely that he will have to go JUCO.I'd love to see a kid like him shutout and forced to go JC. I would laugh up to signing day knowing the kid lost a year of Div1 experience. It would serve him right.
That's terrible, Cali. He's a 17 year old kid deciding where to go to college.I'd love to see a kid like him shutout and forced to go JC. I would laugh up to signing day knowing the kid lost a year of Div1 experience. It would serve him right.

I don't wish any negative to a kid that has the right to play anywhere he wants. Let's take Ishaq, he could very well have been a plug and play starter at SU and much further along in his game that he is now at ND, still only a part time player with real heat his junior year on whether or not he'll be a starter for the Irish next year. Still his choice, could have maybe rasied his game level with Syracuse, but then again he is playing for a NC this year. He will get a degree from ND, so wish him well, but still wish he would have chosen the Orange. Never felt this way with EO from the onset, but still good luck is all I can say.I'd love to see a kid like him shutout and forced to go JC. You can be a mean, miserable, self centered person sometimes Cali. It makes no difference in your life where this kid goes to school, and yet you wish him harm. Next you will be challenging him to a duel.I'd love to see a kid like him shutout and forced to go JC. I would laugh up to signing day knowing the kid lost a year of Div1 experience.
