I have to laugh when people talk about Ishaq's "brand". He has no brand. Anyone outside of ND and Syracuse probably doesn't even recognize the name. Maybe it sounds vaguely familiar but otherwise.....

RG3 has a brand. At this point, Ishaq Williams is a footnote.

How about his last couple tweets.

Sitting down listening to coach Marrone

I really need to sit down and think about things

Last night was mad real

Not sure what mad real is, but hopefully the staff gave him something to at least think about. Seems like everyone is having a real good time from tweets.

And there are some on the board that thought we shouldn't "waste" our time giving Ebo a free trip to hang out with his friends..smh

It's too bad we aren't playing a full house big basketball game tonight. Could just tell him "we need you to fill the place like this, but for football."

Mad real is a good thing.

I can only have faith in Coach Marrone to work his magic. I honestly don't' think that EO is all that is hyped up to be but to establish the record that we got the top player from NY to stay in NY, we need him.

You can be a mean, miserable, self centered person sometimes Cali. It makes no difference in your life where this kid goes to school, and yet you wish him harm. Next you will be challenging him to a duel.
Maybe Cali found out that he's a Republican. :)

Last night was mad real is a reference to a rap lyric in a Kanye and Jay-Z song...

The exact lyric is :

Sunglasses and Advil...
Last night was mad real...

The point trying to be made that they partied so hard, that advil and sunglasses were needed the next am for the hangover. I wonder if he had a Jesus Shuttlesworth He Got Game type of recruiting trip.

"Mad real" is either a really good thing or something wild happened (like a fight). I choose to believe he was using the first (hopefully).

if he isn't what he is "hyped up to be" then there a ton load of analysts out there that need no learn the process and business. I want him because I won't believe there is that much mass stupidity surrounding this kid's ability.couchburn

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it was just a figure of speech and no reference to a song. That term has been around long before Kanye West and/or Jay-Z.

Folks need to stop reading too much into tweets.

Yes, the term "mad real" has been around forever, but that is a fairly new song, and all over twitter and facebook when people go out and have a great time they recite/post/tweet that line.

I must have had 10-20 friends post that line when describing a previous night.

This thread is definitely across the EPIC threshold! Hopefully it ends like most romantic comedies.

Does Anchorman qualify as a romantic comedy? If so Cali would make an awesome Brick ... however Bnoro would have to share his sex panther with the board which means that 60% of the time we get the recruits every time :)

I totally agree. A third down player in his full second year is not a "brand" player. He will even be severly tested if he gets to start next year as Teo is the only one leaving. I watched him exclusively and quite frankly he looks lost in NDs system, period. He is rarely around the ball and always seems to be teh last huy in. Great players find away to always be right there, especiaally LB's. It is the ND brand that is up. Ishaq had little role in that. We'll never know what kind of a player he would have been here either, but I venture to guess he would be better known playing here then at ND from the bench.

I was taken out of context! :p

Being there with Gus and Laray can only help our chances, right? As well as Allen, who we hope will prove to be the recruit whisperer? After all, wasn't it Allen who called Gus and put him over the top for SU?
