They are a perennial fringe top 25 team ( though hey have been dong better of late), with arrogant fans and an inflated self worth. They think they are one of the top 10 programs and have the pedigree of Texas, alabama, Lsu. Yes, they are light years ahead of rutgers, but compared to other southern programs- well they don't match up. They are like west Virginia or miss state. Get ready for years of frustration and hating them.
We would have been thrilled to have had their success over the last ten years.

If his reasoning for dropping ole miss was worried about racial issues, what would make him want to go to Clemson?

Having lived in South Carolina for a while, you are right on here. Talk about a deep divide. They still fly the confederate flag and worship the "deep south" attitude. He might not know what he is really getting into.

I think it is difficult for people from the north to realize just how different it is down there. I lived in Charlotte for 2 years after graduation from SU and I spent many days in small towns in NC and SC (some hamlets that, quite literally, were not on a map). Unless you have lived there, you just don't understand how different the lifestyle is down there when it comes to race.

For the better or for worse? I've spent all my life in the NE area and I've ONLY heard how amazing and nice people are down in the South. I still doubt them but I admit that I have zero experience.

Not better or worse, imo, just different. In my experience, there are nice people everywhere and there are not so nice people everywhere. I met some amazing people down there who would give a stranger the shirt off their own back. But I think there are more people down south who are outwardly friendly when they literally can't stand you and will stab you in the back any chance they get. I think it's easier to know where you stand with someone from the NE. Some people like this, others don't. Before I lived there, however, I had never had anyone hate me for no other reason than where I came from.

One of my work buddies from down there got transferred to Syracuse about 10 years ago. He and his wife spent their whole lives in the South (Alabama, Kentucky, NC, SC, etc). They couldn't believe how truly nice the people were in the Syracuse area and not superficial like in the South. These were their words, not mine.

Other parts of the country gain and hinder reputations without knowing they do so. After living in NJ for a number of years my wife and I visited during a football weekend and I decided to show her the grocery store that my family and i used when living in North Syracuse. It wa called "The Sweetheart store on the corner of rte11 and Fay road which is now Taft ,I believe. We purchased a few item and we went to the cashier the girls were helpful pleasant and the polar opposite of what you get in NJ It was refreshing and the smile on my wife's face. I almost convinced her to try relocating but of course that never happened. My stories of snow blizzards and such blew away any chances of that happening. california is a quality state in many respects. The weather is great and earthquakes are the only real ? As long as I'm not on an island off the western coast of California in a house that was about 40-50 miles inland its all OK

That's funny about the cashiers in NJ. Most of them don't address the customers other than to tell you how much you owe. That was very foreign to me. I worked at a grocery store in HS in NoVA and I would have been fired if I didn't address every customer I encountered.

I live in GA and most of the people I have met that are native to GA are very nice. However I have met a few transplants from the NE that well ... aren't so nice.

Per video, final 3 is Florida, Clemson and SU. Miss St and ASU are out. Sounds optimistic...until you see that he announced his list wearing a Florida hoodie.

Just don't see it happening y'all.

EO and why he hasn't committed to Florida? Heard from a friend who gave me the scoop from Florida on this. The class has 24 and maybe 25 slots according to his inside source to fill this year in which they already have 25, depending on the choices 2 juniors on the program will be making after their bowl game this year. That means, at the very most, they will have 27 slots to fill. EO at best has a conditional offer at Florida in his view behind 3 other D-line candidates. I am assuming they are Nkemdiche, Williams and Daniels, but there are at least 2 other D-linemen on their board as well. Not to mention, they already have 5 D-line committs already this year. So, at this point, I think Florida (very much like ND ealier this summer) may be out otherwise I think EO would have committed. If that is true, his other choice was Clemson, who is still after Nkemdiche and Daniels along with the #1 DT Adams, who is visiting them last in January, along with at least 3 other d-linemen on their board as well. I don't have the scoop from anyone close to the program there, but logic says with him already visiting there, and if what my friend is telling me out of Florida is correct, then the offer at Clemson is conditional as well. If all this is true, then you would think SU may be back in play, however will a new shool be added to his list? I think he has alot of potential, but am wondering if like so many experts are out there saying that NY talent is behind the S-Curve in development at the next level, if there isn't something too that? I thought Ishaq was a slam dunk no matter where he played, but so far not the case at ND for him, and I thought he was an all around better player than I have seen in quite awhile out ot NY in some time.(including EO)

Since we spent so much time and effort on this thread, might as well see it through. Still would like to see EO, top talent out of NY play up at the dome! If this is old news, so be it, but haven't had a chance to read the last month on this thread.

That plays along with his timeline of announcing at the UA game.

Well, you got me to change my view. By having conditional offers from UF ad Clem, there is a plausable (though remote) possibility he chooses SU.

I guess its always been the case that SU has an outside "punchers" chance at landing him.

Clemson's not in on Daniel, they pulled his scholarship because they were sick of his BS. Nkemdiche isn't going back there after decommitting. The DT won't affect EO's position. Seems like he's their #1 DE target right now.

He won't be adding another school at this stage in the game, he took all his officials if i remember correctly.

We have a shot. Not a big one, but a chance.

Ain't nobody got time for that I guess!

I believe it comes down to Clemson and if they change their offer from conditional to go for EO. I say our chances are now way up, maybe even 50/50, ok that might be optimistic but it is Christmas after all! :) Doesn't hurt having Zach talking to him direct and trying to hammer home the Orange with EO. :bat: With Brown and EO, you gotta like that potential bookends , makes you forget Ishaq real fast it does. I am thinking that he wants to see if this thread can make it to 2000. And, if it does, he is coming to SU.

Coaches should do an in home before he leaves for the UA game. Then maybe go there and watch.

Anyway you slice it, he will be wearing Orange, so I hope it doesn't come down to mascotts! LOL

Dead Period through January third (game is the 4th) and I'm pretty sure coaches can't attend the game itself... so they really can't do either.
