One and Done going away?

And why isn’t it the fault of the NBA for setting up their system the way they have? The NCAA predates the NBA. Baseball works well. You don’t have to “enter” your name in the draft. You can be selected after your senior year in high school, after your junior or senior year at a four year college or after you’ve completed two years at a JUCO. The teams take the risk that they’ll draft you and then not be able to adequately invent you to sign.

It doesn’t work that way in basketball because pro basketball has decided to put much more of the risk on the kids.
Exactly. "One and Done" is really the "We need help to keep from drafting another Kwame Brown" rule.

This kinda feels un-American. Maybe, make it if kid wants to leave after year 1, must repay the scholarship amount.
It's essentially what baseball does, except there's is straight out of high school or at least years of college.

The timing for the baseball draft seems to align with ages 18 (coming out of high school) and 21 (3 years of college at a 4-year school). Another poster mentioned that you could be drafted after completing 2 years at a JC.
