I will say this though if program SS picked up was not good enough to evaluate him on then the AD was wrong not to conduct a national search even late in the game in January 2013.

January is too late to conduct a successful national search. Heck, one could argue that Syracuse has proven that a mid-December search might be too late.

Let's see how this story ends before claiming that it's a failure.
