OT any bourbon or whiskey drinkers?

Macallan is by far my favorite brand. Was up at the casino Saturday night and looked at a 30 year, they wanted $400 a pour. Nope, I got a $40 pour of Glenmorangie 18 instead. I can get that 30 year cheaper in Vegas this weekend.
As it turns out the $400 pour is the going rate everywhere, even Vegas uggh. I wanted that for my bday drink, but no way could I justify that, way overpriced. Macallan has gone the way of the Pappy cult

There's so many good value amazing whiskey's out there I refuse to pay that much. One of my favorites knappogue castle 16.

Good list. Almost impossible to find the last two now. Elijah Craig Barrel Proof is always good.
Nice. Can’t get the dang pic to download but the holidays are gonna be very nice. Gotta a little 8 year old peg leg porker, some new riff, some simple woodford, some Buffalo trace, eagles rare and the coup de grace some Weller special reserve, a special Xmas gift at $300 a bottle.

I kid u not it’s as good as Pappys. Wowsa

Exit 9 Wine and Liquor's top ten "can't miss" whiskeys for 2023. And they know what they are talking about.

Nice list and some new ones on there that I was unfamiliar with. I can vouch for the Penelope Architect and have gone through a few bottles over the years. I have never had anything bad from Smokewagon

So friends of mine, who are not bourbon drinkers, won the following liquor basket in a charity raffle this past weekend. Unreal.

I see a Hartman's bottle back there. They've been doing some different small batch variations of their bourbon. I sampled a couple when I was at Matinee in the Theater District in Buffalo a few weeks ago. Good stuff.

I’m going to 9-11 for wings with the boys this Friday. I think we’re going to try to hit Hartman’s on the way back.

I just tried the Architect for the first time and can't decide what I think. Taste almost scoth-like at the end. Need some more sips to make final call.

I wasn't that impressed, but apparently which batch you get makes a huge difference. I have a 6 for which they didn't use the normal 4 grain blend. I bought a bottle of the base whiskey for comparison and quite enjoyed it. Will get a bottle of batch 7 if I see it out, but I'm not going out of my way

I find that the first pour does not always represent the juice. I am often amazed how much a bottle can change revisiting it a few days or weeks down the line. I am not a fan of scotch, and I like this.
