This could end up being a very salty pickup
I hope he plays with a chip on his shoulder.

Yeah I'm not sure how accurate this is. Have a few SC friends who said he was solidly on their two deep and wanted a guarantee he was starting. When they said no, he went to the portal. This SI article linked below from when he entered the portal indicates that he was projected to play RG at South Carolina. Also states. "It didn't appear as if Pringle was really in the mix to even crack the two-deep for the Gamecocks. So, his intentions to transfer don't come as much of a surprise."
Note that South Carolina has recruited really well the past few years. Pringle is only a redshirt freshman, so despite him not being in their two deep, he still is likely a very solid get.

Heard the same thing.Yeah I'm not sure how accurate this is. Have a few SC friends who said he was solidly on their two deep and wanted a guarantee he was starting. When they said no, he went to the portal.
Hmm interesting. Well if that happens to be true, I love the fact he would be good enough to be considered that close to starting caliber at South Carolina. But can't say I love the stance of, guarantee me a starting position or I'm leaving. Seems a little ridiculous for a redshirt freshman near the end of spring ball. But if he's good enough to start here, hopefully we don't have to worry too much about that attitude becoming an issue.Yeah I'm not sure how accurate this is. Yeah hopefully we can add 1 more vet and then with the young guys maybe someone else surprises too.I think we have the potential to have a very strong o-line now tbh.
1st string:
LT-Pringle
LG-Miller or Mack
C-Collins
RG-Petry
RT-Big Spoon
Then you have
Bertrand
Either Miller or Mack whoever loses that battle
Washington
Cruz
Those would be the main 4 off the bench and I think that’s a strong 4 to come in. And a versatile group. I really like that’s starting group
South Carolina, not North Carolina. Gotta give them the benefit of the doubtSemester insinuates they go to school. You funny.
Struggled with the speed of the game? He played a few minutes in a single game against Akron.I want to preface this by saying that I’m ecstatic about the Pringle pickup but I think that we may be getting a little ahead of ourselves thinking he’s a plug and play LT against Tennessee game 1. IMO the biggest thing about this pickup is that he potentially has 4 years left to play 4. I had talked to a couple of my friends who are pretty tuned into Gamecock football when I heard he was visiting and while they really liked him they warned that he’s going need a little time. They added that he has tons of potential but struggled with the speed of the game and hence tried at guard before entering the portal.
Pringle and Rice (if we are fortunate to get him as well) both played 2a and 3a football scholastically in their respective states of SC and Virginia against a lot of inferior opponents. They obviously must have tested well on the camp circuit to get such high grades by the recruiting services along with stellar play on the football field. Rice has had multiple years at UNC and not broken into the rotation there at all so I’m less optimistic about him than Pringle but both have great potential and worth a shot imo. Maybe our staff can light a fire under them and maximize that potential as they are a different level of pedigree than we normally carry in our OL room.
I think we just need to temper expectations a little until we hear some positive news out of camp mentioning Pringle working with the 1’s (or even making the 2 deep) before we anoint him starting LT.
Practices/scrimmages etc….they work in the athletic department.Struggled with the speed of the game? He played a few minutes in a single game against Akron.
Apparently they all did because Sellers spent a lot of time running for his life.Practices/scrimmages etc….they work in the athletic department.

They are up and comers as much as I dislike 5 head he has recruited well and they give the top tier teams fits. They were even considered dark horse playoff contenders. What tier of program is South Carolina considered to be these days? I don’t follow the SEC closely enough to say, but my friend is a diehard, and from what I gather, he sees them as roughly Syracuse-level compared to the rest of their conference.
I appreciate a couple of people getting this, I know it is a deep cut. Haha.

That would be nice. But who is he starting over? I think Pringle, Collins, Petry and Spoon are pretty solid.Cruz is starting take that to the bank
I think Mack stays at Lt. He has the kick and hand speed to make them switch Big spoon to Rt. I think Pringle starts at Lg with Cruz and Miller backup guards who get playing time. Think Washington will play a bit and definitely have certain packages he goes in on. Didnt get a handle on Betrand yet and wondering how he did in spring.I think we have the potential to have a very strong o-line now tbh.

Mack is good. My thought was Spoon and Cruz better watch out.I wouldn't.
Not sure that Pringle is a LT candidate.
And you are selling Mack short.
Yeah, Cruz has played a fair amount, so he seems like a safe pick to be in the mix. Otherwise it means a newbie or guy on the roster that hasn't seen snaps have jumped him.Cruz is starting take that to the bank
