OT: Schaefer Beer

You would think the Pabst people would take a good look at the Syracuse market as the name "Shafer" will be prominent here the next few years. Somehow the name suggests something cold and refreshing to me, (although I'm not much of a beer guy). Advertising is all about putting a name in your head.

My first sip of beer was Fort Schuyler beer (yes, grew up in Utica). Was about 10 and Grandfather let me have a sip. I remember the short fat brown bottle. Was the worst tasting stuff I'd ever tasted to that point. Though, Would like to try it again now that I'm a more accomplished beer drinker.

You haven't lived until you've had Fort Schuyler slushies. Leave the $.99 six pack of Fort Schyler in your car too long during the winter. Mmmmmm.

Same story except Budweiser and I was ~15 but I'm not sure anyone can stand the smell of that anyway.
