Our fans are the best...

The amazing this is it isn't like we're some huge state school liike Kentucky, UNC, or Ohio State or something.

My brother attended the game and said practically the entire upper deck was Orange. He estimated the crowd was 30% SU fans :)

I love it when our fans show up in opposing arenas and piss off the locals after a win.

Lets add NCState to our "home away from home list". Just stellar to claim an ACC arena. Love the guy bitching about all the "yankees" in the arena. LOL. Awesome.

Damn right, Jake!
Is there any better feeling than hearing that "Let's Go Orange" chant as we start administering a beat-down?
Oh, how I love it so! SUball

"The Cuse fans in our section were some of the most vile, contemptible and indecent people I have ever encountered in my life. Good Lord. I know every fan base has bad apples but this appears to be a fan base full of classless, inbred trash. Heaven help us when we have to start playing these mental rejects on a regular basis."

Well done

Orange repping

That's pretty ironic coming from NC State. Heck, some of their fans literally urinated in their seats in their football stadium because they didn't want to leave (and potentially lose their seats) to use the restroom.

It's really going to be terrible being in the ACC apparently. How will we get SU fans to away games?!

;)
We won't have any conference away games it seems like. God Bless the SU fans.

Orange nation is everywhere.

"Syracuse hasn't been tested. They didn't play any games outside of the Eastern Time Zone."

Jeez, maybe we should have moved to the ACC seven years ago. Too bad we didn't get that opportunity.

My favorite post in an NC State forum:

They do that everywhere they go. That's a Syracuse trademark - they travel as well as anyone in the nation. And don't discount the transplants.

Great find. I love it.

So who are all these SU fans in North Carolina? Fans who came from SU, transplants, or do we have random followers in N.C.?

Echoing what others have said, it was absolutely the worst game experience of my life. Its one thing to have a few UNC fans around you, but this was nauseating. Syracuse fans are far and away the most obnoxious I've ever been around.

I generally make fun of the sore loser "Waaah, their fans were mean!' threads. This was just some kind of experience. Their fans, as a whole, were pretty much a bunch of arrogant, rude, and obnoxious yankee trash, as we all expected.

Can't deny the Orange faithful :) they sure are pretty loud.

Welcome to the South, where it's okay to be loud, obnoxious and boorish at sporting events, as long as you are a fellow southerner. If you're from the North and come to their arena and act like that, well it's like that brutish Sherman burning their fields all over again.

Syracuse travels like a bunch of leaches. ACC get used to it.

:D"There is a huge difference between taking over an arena and a visiting teams fans coming in droves to support their team. That's awesome.

That doesn't give anyone the right to act like a bunch of pompous ******** in the process. Did you go to the game? If you sat in the 300 levels like I did, you'd know exactly why many on here were complaining. It was the worst display of sportsmanship I've ever seen in my entire life...and I'm not usually one of the ones who complain about every other teams fans that beats us. Cuse fans were horrible"

I'm ashamed of you guys.

I still can't get over how loud those Syracuse SOBs were. +44 internets for all of you.

Just read their wonderful thread...if any of them are reading this: SCOREBOARD. ...and I'm not talking about the game. I'm talking about the Civil War. Get over it.

That being said...I'm sure our fans were rude and obnoxious. And now with the scandal, being the northern most team in a southern conference, and being a highly ranked team...I ask all fans and the team to EMBRACE BEING THE HEEL. Not like a Tu Holloway, look at me I'm hard heel...more a smug smirking heel..almost like old school UNLV-esque. YES, we are from Syracuse. Yes, we know it snows there. YES, we know there's a bad scandal going on. ...and YES, we beat you :)

Atmosphere at the game was great. Was in section 113 and it was pretty much all orange. There was one guy who sat in fornt of my group and kept bringing up Syracuse football, he knew nothing about basketball. Turned around to my buddy and kept saying let's go outside. We had been drinking steadily all day, and we were egging him on a bit...but all this happened at the 17 minute mark. He shut up for the rest of the first half after we went on our run. GREAT GAME TODAY. I am very surprised at how well I am typing right now. Can't wait to make more trips down here in ACC Land when Syracuse finally get's in the league.

Favorite moment while watching on TV was the pan to the section of Syracuse fans behind the bench during the 23-0 run and the guy mocking Gottfried and telling him he needs a 30 second TO. If you're a poster, props for some quality and hilarious face time.

Just got home a little bit ago. Listen, those State fans are a little too sensitive. Up in the 300's, after the game my buddy, my girlfriend and I were the last to leave the section. The security guy tells us we have to go, and that 2 police officers showed up outside our exit. Allegedly, there were some "season ticket holders waiting to have some words" with us. We weren't arrogant, rude or obnoxious. We high-fived maybe one too many times, but did not openly berate N.C. State by any means. Even had a women flip us off as she left. If that was classless by us, guilty as charged. Downtown Raleigh wasn't doing it for us, ended up in Chapel Hill as the only people in Orange. Anyway, that is a different story but the Heel fans were good to us. What a night, 'Cuse all over Wake County.
