I just feel gutted for these young men. They compete so hard. Have been very productive. It’s just an easy squad to root for.

In the off-season Dino needs to:
- contact Frank Beamer and learn how important Special Teams are and get a coach to oversee it. His decision to run by committee is costing us games.
- upgrade the WR’s position through the transfer portal or recruiting.
- continue to recruit the QB and along the trenches better (OL/DL)
- figure out clock and game management
- throw to the TE once in a while. It works, see what Clemson did to us last night?

Two of those things should be automatic knowledge for a HC in the P4/5 level but Dino is learning on the job it seems.

TE - this remains my biggest pet peeve.

Although - clock & game mismanagement is coming up fast!!

We had ZERO planned TE pass targets, IIRC.

Rhino caught one on that pitch/shuffle pass on a scramble drill, and Shrader bounced another in his general direction later in the game, again on a scramble, and just trying to get rid of the ball.

I saw Benson on ST’s on several plays, so clearly he was well enough for that duty.

Clemson’s TE was just a big lanky white dude - he’s no Gronk or Kelce.

But we made him look like an AA last nite. I think we maybe stopped him short on 1-2 plays, max.
Otherwise, all his other catches were massive for them - none bigger than the fake punt.

Also - WTAF was Dino thinking NOT calling TO when they came out in what was clearly a fake punt formation??!!!
Not like he needed to save a TO for anything that late in the 1st half.

Sigh. My heart hurts for these players.

What makes you think that he will do any of these things in year 7 when he hasn't done any of these in the past 6 years?

The punter is not allowing the team to pin anyone. It’s a massive disadvantage for this defense. How doesn’t Syracuse have a top punter? This is illogical

We’ve lost more players to transferring since the start of training camp than any other P5 school with Dino at the helm so…

This is my debate that I am having. I really don’t want to lose some of these players that could leave but most know that I am not a Dino fan. He lost me a while ago.

I don’t see why there would be any quit in them, they are a handful of plays away from 6-1. They see it, we see it. We’re right on cusp.

Watching Shrader speak post-game always ignites a spark for me. He speaks like a leader, takes responsibility, knows what he needs to improve upon and voices it, sounds football smart.

Firing Dino mid-season ensures we don’t win another game, IMO. Let the season ride out and see what happens and as that’s transpiring admin gets their stuff together and starts considering the possibility now so if we need a new coach it’s not a reactive scramble. I’m just as hot about last night as many of you but to create more chaos with canning him before season end feels like it would be actually be worse than what we’re currently dealing with.

Agreed and that’s what I’m afraid of. We have a very solid base to build off of, we can’t afford to keep losing players. Not to mention Tucker and Shrader. Dino has to go.
