Syracuse had 42nd strength of schedule ranking.Really? Mich played 6 … OSU played 7 … ND played 7 … Bama played 7 … UGA played 7 … none of the elite teams played 9. That is anywhere from 2-3 extra games against sub .500 teams. Give Cuse two squads with sub .500 records in lieu of two of their losses and they are a 9 win team. Only 6 times in the last 22 years was their SOS as high or higher than this. Our SRS which is results vs SOS is the third highest we have seen since 2000. Higher than any in Marrones tenure, not looking through orange colored glasses I am working with facts. Can we stop already? This was about the quality of the Purdue win anyway.
Actually they had 23 Power 5 teams beat in strength of schedule, not exactly a murderers row.Just because UCONN is going bowling doesn’t mean they are better than a Power 5 team that isn’t.
