1.7 percent go on to play pro ball. The average career is 18 months. If you are advising a kid to base all of his decisions on that, you are doing him a horrible disservice. The other 98% should not play at a lower level. If we're being honest, every kid that could get admitted to an ivy, SHOULD, but they don't. They choose the life experience of playing in front of a ridiculous amount of people, and on TV. Because there is value in the experience. If they are trying to play P5 football, they have aspirations to play pro ball. If they don't, they should play at a lower level where they will have more time to focus on their studies. When Gbo comes on this board and says that after Saban retires, Dabo will go to 'Bama and Clemson will move on Dino, he's serious. And I can tell you that there are a lot of other people much higher them him that have their eye on Babers. Unless you think powerful people who make decisions in this billion dollar industry are just haphazard and pull names out of a hat.
Recruits aren't reading gbo's comments, or the others. That's what fans do. I guess no one will commit to Clemson or Bama because those guys might leave..
Our recruiting isn't behind, because Babers might leave.
Who are the powerful people that have voiced an interest in Babers? Didn't hurt recruiting, last year.
