Again...sanctions, Hop leaving, uncertainty around JB, some injuries, and some bad luck.

I already answered your expectations question earlier.
What are your expectations? Just say again it. Or link it.

If Hop didn’t leave he would be HC now.

Injuries happen everywhere.

Sanctions are a factor but you overblow them.

Better? Well, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I'll will say this. I'd much rather be getting some solid action all year, vs. just on an anniversary type occasion. ;):)

I'd rather play our best basketball in March than January.

I'll speculate that having our starting center , who played well at the end of last season, makes us a better team.
I’ll speculate our starting center would have gotten foul trouble and if he played the team would have been worse because one of Alan/Quincy/Marek would have had to sit a lot more and our offense would have struggled more because Buddy was sick and struggled in the early portion of the season.
So Sidibe’s injury didn’t cost us a top 25 season.

There speculation can go both ways.
Doesn’t make you right nor the other side right.

It depends on the roster each season. I expected Top 25 with a healthy Sidibe. Hop was an excellent recruiter. Losing a great recruiter hurts.

I think you underestimate the sanctions quite a bit.

I think this is incredibly idiotic to think we are worse with a healthy Sidibe. Jeez.

Sanctions took 1 assistant coach off the road recruiting for 1 year.

We were able to get around it because JB could go City Rocks games as a dad and we could still have all the other assistants at AAU events because Jim wasn’t a coach he was a dad.

The sanctions put us on probation for 5 years which is basically a don’t do anything illegal for 5 years penalty that isn’t hard to follow.

Finally we lost 12 scholarships over 4 years.

We did lose Huerter in 2017 but again we chose Tyus Battle over Kevin Heurter. That was our choice.

Jim Boeheim from 2008-2015 didn’t even use all 13 scholarships on basketball recruits he typically used 1-2 of those scholarships on walkons to help the APR.
In 2008 we lost 2 scholarships because our APR was below the limit to go without penalty.
After that season JB rewarded walkons when he had scholarships to boost our APR.

Hell even In 2012 we didn’t use all 13 on scholarship players. We had 2 walkons on scholarship.

The sanctions cost walkons scholarships.
JB on average has 11.6 players on Players recruited to Syracuse.

The sanctions hurt they didn’t hurt as much as you State.

Again you think.
It’s doesn't mean you are right.
Sidibe played the season before we were 18-14.

If he played our offense is worse and our defense is better. He got foul trouble a lot. Your opinion is no more right than mine. What game that we lost does Sidibe win?

Eh...this is dumb. We are better with Sidibe at Center than Marek. We just are. Idiotic to think otherwise. He's a better rebounder and defender, and allows Marek to play his natural position.

Silly argument. I'm not gonna play your game. Sorry.

Nothing I said is silly.
I just doing what you do.
Throwing opinions out.
You aren’t right.
Doesn’t mean I am right either.

Sidibe playing means one of Marek/Alan/Quincy had to sit.

We lose something that helped the team with any of those 3 sitting.

Sidibe was a hot or cold player.
He wasn’t consistent the year before.
We didn’t lose 2011 Rick Jackson.

Thank you. Have a nice day.
Lol.
That didn’t cause the decline of the program.
Have a nice day. I can counter your stuff all day long.
Sanctions hurt they aren’t why we have become medicore in the regular season.

We recruit too many projects, we don’t recruit natural point guards and we haven’t good post play offense since Rak Christmas.

Cool, you're welcome to throw out opinions, even if they don't make sense. Losing your starting center doesn't make you better. That's dumb. Sorry. I think we'd have been a better team, with our starting center. I don't think that's a crazy take.

Maybe because we lost 12 scholarships over 4 years. Or maybe losing Hop hurt more than we thought? Or maybe the uncertainty over JB? Maybe all 3 combined? Who knows?

Sid was the difference between top 25 and bubble? You high?

I think a healthy Sid putting up 10 and 8, and the guard roles being handled correctly likely would’ve had us in the top 25.
I can see MAYBE 1 game with Sidibe but honestly I would say same record.

Our defense improves and our offense becomes worse.

I think we certainly beat UNC the first time, and win one of the Pitt games. Ridiculous to lose that one we had, anyways. And I think we beat Duke with solid center play too. We made them look good. They weren’t.

Duke smacked us. I don’t think the center was why they knew how to move the ball and make 3’s.
UNC at CH I think we still lose that one.

The Pitt game at home is the game I think he could have made a difference which is why I said 1 game better.

We’re not talking about the guard roles being handled correctly.

Dang...impressive! I think you'd win Summary Judgement since it's hard to argue that any question of fact exists. Actually, I think you did win SJ since he couldn't respond with any actual facts to refute, but only a "have a nice day." :)
