Petar Majstorovic transferring to Long Beach St

Not sure I love losing a freshman who contributed to Long Beach State. Seemed like a high effort guy from France/Serbia would have been the perfect guy to develop as a decent bench option while we turnover the starters. Did they pay him more than we could? At least send him over to GMac and siena. He'd be a very effective 4/5 in that league.

I guess we couldn't match Dre and Snoop money.

I'm guessing this is probably much more about finding an opportunity to get more playing time since he was/is/will be recruited over here. Might as well also find a landing spot with nicer weather too.

I liked Petar and wish we could have kept him. Big men almost always take awhile to marinate and he showed potential. He played with a lot of effort and had some skills that could have made him a weapon at the 4 down the road.

He didn’t shoot many 3’s but his 41% from behind the arc was way better than any of the four guards. His assist to turnover ratio, while not on the level of Carlos ( whose A:T ratio was actually quite good) was still better than Cuffe’s. Being able to do “guard stuff” better than some of your guards is a nice bit of diversity to have in your back pocket if you are a 4/5.

Seemed like a good kid. Wouldn‘t be surprised to see him portal back to a major school in another couple of years.

BTW, Easter Sunday is 4/20 this year.

Hate to say it, but what does it say about the state of the program and the players brought it when a reasonably significant contributor can only go to Long Beach St.?
Everything

The maestro was a positive light in a blowout loss for Long Beach State.

Double double, 13 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 6 turnovers, 50% fg, 50% threes, 50% fts (we are proud of that) and only person on his team who scored more than 7 points.

I wonder how his hair is doing. Always rooted for this guy.
