I could be wrong but the longer this goes the worse it looks for UConn. I'm not convinced Providence is out of this thing. I'm not convinced any of the 5 are out of it. Say this for the kid, the pressure in Connecticut has to be enormous and he has taken his time and not succumbed. He may end up at UConn but if I was a UConn fan I'd be very worried.
Frankly looking at it objectively if I was in his shoes UConn would be the last place out of the 5 I would go. Taking into account state of program, academics, facilities, conference etc. all of the other 4 are better.

If cuse is truly out then that kinda sucks only because he was such a great fit for the system. After the work this staff has done over the last few years I’m not worried..at all. Program was really in a tough place. Anything that could have happened basically did..early departures, mind boggling transfers, injuries, anemic scholarship situation. Remarkable that the worst of it was an NIT appearance as the overall 1 seed. Sometimes I think we take for granted how well Jimmy B and Co have kept this machine running. Winning is not a guarantee anymore. Too much talent all over. Incredible job by them to build the current roster out of the dificult circumstances these last few seasons. All the confidence they’ll handle this with class and move on to the next guy.

Gotchya..I'm not disagreeing. Curious what u think of his lack of relationships with current players and committed cuse recruits in his same class? Do you dismiss that entirely and hope that his relationship with players means nothing and it will come down to his relationship with the coaches and what he wants in a school? The signs all point away from us along with the "noise" being talked about for some time but yet we have many on here that keep saying that we are in this. What makes you believe we are still in this? Just trying to get others perspective on why they are still so optimistic.

Because nothing comes directly from Akok Akok. It's really simple. Until he voices a decision, there's nothing real to go on. The most recent thing he's said, 5 schools are in it. That's it.
