I mean who wouldn't rather play in Seattle for the first coach that recruited you and who you trust. Plus a 5star PG in a Power 5 conference he will absolutely dominate in? Whats the downside. Stewart could go to any school and be a top 5 NBA pick next year. But the one thing nobody on here has mentioned is Naz Carter. When Stewart is talling about future teammates he always referenced Naz higher than anybody else. They truly seem like best friends. I think it is playing a part. I honestly wish we could get him but he says awfully great things about UW. Lets hope he picks Syracuse but please please please dont hold your breath

All depends on his perspective.

We'll see, Husky. But this is not your board. If you want to keep pimping Washington, take it your people. In the meantime, this board has every right to be excited about Stewart as a possibility.

I defended you against some other posters on here, but if you keep posting like this, I can't help you

Hope he comes to Syracuse man i really do. But honestly when i look at what he says in his articles and interviews i have always been worried. His USA Today post were the worst as a Syracuse alumn who wants this kid. Every one seemed as if he said "big bro Naz, Naz is my besty, hes great for advice i love his music etc etc etc." I didnt even know a D1 bball player can make music will attending college classes lol. But it just seemed they were close. Also seems he is Closer to Hop than Jimmy B. His Instagram and Twitter and such had him speaking of and excited prior to his trip to UW. For Syracuse it was a "hey I am in town for the weekend for my fathers birthday can you host us"? Again i hope he comes to Syracuse. He is the guy we need!!!!! But i am not holding my breath. I might say a prayer or two

You’re definitely right about Naz Carter, they seem very close. The irony is that 5 star PG he will play with next year at UW, probably wishes he chose Cuse first time around. This whole thing is just weird. I bet recruiting against Syracuse is pretty painful deep down for Hop, but he’s gotta a job to do and he is particularly good at it.

Didn’t realize he was playing. Just looked up his stats. Interesting stats from him...shooting 25% on 2 pointers but 46% on 3 pointers.
 
I gotta say ..my feeling is that he goes to UW. Too many prognosticators picking Wash, which means we would have to pull Stewart out of our backside and we dont have a good track record at all of doing that ...in fact, just the reverse: other schools seem to pull solid Cuse leans to their respective schools.

Don't know why this seems to be the case. We probably don't get him ...but we'll be fine ...but if we do!!

Washington will be more than solid with him, they can be loaded if they get McDaniels, another top 10 prospect who UW feels they have a 50/50 chance with.

Perhaps but honestly, will he be playing against best players/ teams day in and day out compared to ACC. Isn’t he trying to go high in draft and show his stuff? Do you really pay much mind to pac 10 bb? No offense to Hop, but he’s new and not HOF yet. Does their facility and national identity exceed ours? Fan base? I just can’t reconcile why he would go. His pro career will take him away from home real fast. It must be the weather
 
Meanwhile we got players/family straight up getting 100K etc and nothing being done, and they're playing college ball. I don't think anyone needs to worry about tagging pics and posts.
 
Well, I was just going to start boozing at brunch and float through the day. Have this go off my radar.

Plans have changed.

I’m still going to hit the sauce hard, don’t get me wrong. Obviously. But my eyes are back to this thread.

Totally understand. UW fans are just really excited because we don’t get recruits like this all the time.

You guys have plenty to be excited about and I actually think Cuse can go deep this season if the chips fall in place. I will say that if UW doesn’t get him, I would be happy with seeing him at Syracuse.
